It'll be interesting when Burger King rolls out the Impossible Whopper nationwide. They've been testing it in the St. Louis market and it's been a big hit.
these vegans will bitch about it being cooked on or near the same grill as real meat

Re: Fast Food Tier List
My personal favorite is Wendy's. I love their spicy chicken sandwich (real chicken, not processed like Checkers...) and their fries imo are underrated.
The only fastfood joints I frequent are Wendys, Chick fil a, and PDQ. And even those places, its once or twice a month.
Most of my meals come from home, with my go to meal for work being a bowl of white rice, grilled/fried chicken, and local hot sauce that is made from fresh ingredients and little to no sodium (10mg per serving, unheard of for hot sauces).

Oh, forgot to mention...I ****ing love whoppers. I love them to death, but I refuse to go eat em. Just way too unhealthy. I'll grab once in a blue moon, but like rn I honestly cant remember the last time I went to BK. Early 2018?
But god damn it I love those things, I'd dip each bite into their buffalo sauce....so damn unhealthy, so delicious tho lol

Arby's gyros are the real deal.

Re: Fast Food Tier List
I recommend to everyone in this thread to keep your eyes on sodium intake. It is absolutely horrifying how much sodium these fast food places add to their food, specifically beef pattys.
Your daily total should not exceed 2500mg sodium per day.
1 chick fil a spicy chicken sandwich - 1620mg
1 Daves double (wendys burger) - 1520mg
1 Big Mac - 1007mg (not HORRIBLE, still not great)
etc, etc.
You can look up the rest for yourself, but high blood pressure is a problem for millennials man, we are absolutely ****ed. Don't get me started with chipotle....the bowl I used to get had 2300mg of sodium in it, no wonder I would get headaches after that bowl.
And don't get me started with Chinese food, that shit will kill you quick af. Anything with soy sauce stay far far far away. One god damn table spoon of soy sauce has like 1000mg of sodium in it, stupid af.
Having said that, you need sodium to function...so 2000-2500 per day is what you should intake (depending on how active you are, how much you sweat). MOST AMERICANS intake 3500 per day, which leads to all kind of heart problems, high blood pressure, blood clots, stomach cancer, etc.
If you have headaches often and don't know what the cause is, I'm willing to bet its high sodium intake leading to high blood pressure which causes hypertension headaches.

Who cares what the vegan Nazi's think. :lol They're so protein starved they couldn't put up much of a fight anyway.
I'm curious about the impossible burger. If it is really indistinguishable from beef I'm all for it.

I don't think anyone does, even the lowest of the low.
Burger King gets their patties frozen and cooks them on a super-hot conveyor belt broiler.
McDonald's gets their patties frozen and cooks them on a flat-top griddle with a clamshell so that they cook the top and bottom at the same time.
I don't know if it gets more low-rent than those two.

interesting. their food doesn’t taste grilled.
i still think fresh ingredients are the way to go. huge difference in taste between mcdonalds/bk and a place like chick fil a.

its not... and its more expensive... and has just as much fat, sodium/calories etc...
its not even a healthy choice... the bread, mayo and ketchup don't help either
literally the only reason to eat it would be to avoid possible cancer from beef steroids... or because you actually think its cruel to eat meat

The vegan GMO slop they use is probably worse for you than the beef.

Re: Fast Food Tier List
Impossible Burger sounds like a marketing gimmick.
https://www.thugkitchen.com/recipes/lazy-hunt-burger If I'm feeling like a veggie burger, this is what I go for. I keep these ingredients on hand in the cupboard and it's just f*cking delicious.
If I'm going out and I'm getting a burger, I'm getting a beef burger. That's all there is to that.

Oh yeah I agree. The benefit would be to the environment if cattle production could be reduced.

Re: Fast Food Tier List
thats called real french fries... go eat some cavendish flavor crisp and over cook your shit if thats what you like
fresh cut fries will always have a golden brown exterior and a mushy inside. most people like that
if your fries were soggy on the outside too it could just be your location and theyre not doing it right
I'm a chef. I don't know about other Five Guys, but the one near me doesn't soak or par-fry their potatoes enough. That yields softer, browner, greasier fries.
Everything else Five Guys does is top-notch, tho they are on the high end of fast food pricing if that matters to people.

Cool. I would ask you to contribute to the Bistro Rufus thread except Jeff deleted it. :(
Perhaps I'll make another one soon.
