Re: Best Ring in an Asterisk Year?
If a bubble ring was so easy, then why didn't the other team won???? same coditions for every team, every player
Answering this question conflicts with their agenda. :oldlol:

The other teams even had the unfair advantage of erasing the Lakers hard-earned, clinched home court advantage, which they obtained before the season was suspended. Yet they still won with LeBron as the Finals MVP. :applause:
Re: Best Ring in an Asterisk Year?
Two years later I've legitimately yet to hear a good explanation for why if the bubble was such an easy place to win, why the two other title favorites in the Bucks & Clippers underachieved in such spectacular fashion, with the reigning MVP & FMVP Giannis & Kawhi having subpar series to boot.
Re: Best Ring in an Asterisk Year?
And let us not forget that the Lakers were the only team who had a healthy player refuse to play in the bubble. That was Avery Bradley, who aside from LeBron or Anthony Davis was arguably better than any Laker in the 2019-20 season before it was put on ice. LeBron still prevailed and won the ring/finals MVP. :applause:
Re: Best Ring in an Asterisk Year?
No * for 2020 Lakers.
They played virtually an entire season and went the distance in the playoffs.

Every single other team tried their hardest.
Every other fan base wanted to win that championship.
No *

There isn't a reason. Boils down to butt hurt haters mad that their own team didn't win.
All the players of their teams tried their hardest. All had equal playing field.

Bronies in utter denial.
Mickey Mouse ring was a joke, and everyone knows it.
"Bu-bu-bu-but if it was easy, why didn't the Heat win without Adebayo and Dragic?" :lebroncry:

This.
If anything, I'd say that the players in the bubble tried even harder than usual.
Remember: At the time, nobody was sure whether the entire 2020-21 season would be cancelled due to Covid. So for all the players knew, the bubble ring would be the only ring they could win in 2 years.

F*** outta here. Not only was it played in an empty arena, there was covid protocols where if anyone had a mild cold or even around unauthorized people they were ruled out for 2 weeks.
Lakers never even played a good team in any series since they avoided the Clippers and the Bucks.

Lakers lost home court advantage and their starting point guard due to covid.
How was that an advantage for the Lakers?
