bron has been trying to tell us that his kid is already NBA ready
now we know he will never be NBA ready
undersized non-shooting guards aren't that useful
raptors championship team vanvleet was undrafted, norman powell was the 46th pick, siakam was the 27th pick, aka a throwaway low first-rounder
it doesnt matter if it is a weak draft - there are players out there that have talent that just need the opportunity and development
bron is taking care of his family but it's stupid if you're trying to win. kids just not that good and has low upside.
Yeah, yeah, I know it's early in his career. But he's definitely looking scrub-like.
Played 16 minutes and 2 points on 1-6 shooting.
The kid just ain't NBA level.
For a scrub that scored 2 points… bspns whole game recap is all about bronny … their number one pick looked impressive… sucks to be him

If there was no limit to how hard he worked, he'd have some pretty good potential. He's a great athlete, but he's short. I'd take his body nohomo if I was tryin' to make the NBA.

He's not showing the natural skill that sets NBA players apart though. You can only get so far on just athleticism - especially when you're 6'2.

If he can guard pgs, help, and hit 3s consistently, he’s a starter on some teams. Maybe even a championship level starter. If he can handle a little, even better. A lot of these skills are learned, too.
I stand by what i said, he might be a bad pick, but it’s only his trainer and him who are to blame if he’s g leeg 4 life. He has a role he can learn to play, it is useful in the nba, and everyone knows. He just needs to make 3s and d up. It’s gonna take a lot of work, but he should be able to catch and shoot. And on d he’s a menace.
He’s out there playing w nba guys and he’s not good at much of anything lol. If he didn’t have elite athleticism, he’d never sniff nba. He has more chance learning skills.

His dad could have played football. I think he would have more potential as a receiver or safety and also wouldn't be dogged by the completely justified talk of nepotism.

That's a fair take. It's just that most players learn to shoot BEFORE they enter the NBA.....:confusedshrug:

Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez were great tight ends in the NFL. Before they became football stars they were basketball power forwards in college that were deemed undersized for the NBA. LeBron Sr. had the body of an NFL tight end and still more athletic than most of them. In his 20s he would have been a nightmare red zone target and deep threat. This isnt quarterback where his throwing ability and ability to read defenses are important unknowns. He's big, he's strong, he's fast and he can jump.
Bronny doesn't have his dad's overwhelming size so I'm not sure he could have been a great football player but he had athleticism and in football the skills he would be working on aren't as difficult as the shooting and dribbling an NBA guard needs, just catching the ball, route running and backpedaling if he played D. The plays are more complicated and there are more plays to remember but there's no reason to think he's not smart enough to handle that whereas he may or may not ever learn to shoot.
1000 js a day and keep the d. People hate dude enough that i wanna see him succeed. No reason to get cte in nfl.

It's possible that he becomes a good player butI am just analyzing what his talents make him look like to me. If he wasn't James son as a basketball player he would have been a walk on or community college player. Until/unless he develops a real NBA- level skill set he's going to be a magnet for hate. I don't care for all the hate he gets either but that's what can happen when someone that already has so many advantages gets an NBA contract that they clearly aren't worth. Pippen and Payton Jr don't get hate like him because they earned their spots.
And he also catches hate because there are some crazy folks that hate his dad.
