Many rookie MJ fingertip weak side blocks were called PERSONAL FOULS and Rookie MJ has like whopping 3.5 PFPG in 1985. And these blocks were clear as daylight. Every other time, Rookie MJ poked the Ball out, it was called PF.

I haven't seen the games myself in question but when they have a basic explanation like 10 hawks turnovers, 10 Bulls Steals then watch the game and see a 24 second violation, a dribble off the foot and a pass bounce off of Wilkins' hands out of bounds. None are capable of being categorized as steals. They padded his stats, period. It was already known that MJ was stat hunting that season. He would regularly go scorekeepers to see what he needed for a triple double. But he was focussed on the blocks and steals because those were heavily weighed for DPOY back then.

There are more egregious examples. Stockton's inflated assists for example or literally any home games in Boston or LA. Wilt and Russell would have padded rebounding numbers and when it was called out they're reasoning was, "well the other side is doing it!"

You'd think in the age of the internet and readily available game footage this would go away but this was still happening with Chris Paul or Rondo's assists.
