Re: having buyer's remorse with my vote
It’s a false equivalency to act like they were bad. I support people who felt Trump was unhinged or dangerous, so they chose the puppet, but in a vacuum even if you think Trump is terrible, she’s levels worse. Like I said to dudes awhile ago: after this is over go back and watch her speak. Holishit.
She mite be the worst candidate ever, and I can’t figure out what they were doing other than giving Trump the pres. Now, that’s an issue, too, but on merits, she is just not capable. dunno who, other than like sarah palin or some of those nuts in the house, could possibly be worse than her.
She is so bad, it seems like she has to be manipulating you in some way.
Watch some more vids!
Watch til you see what I am seeing. Like I was visiting w/ my father and he’s not from US. He only knows like big news stories. I showed him vids of her and he was shocked, on some jfc shit. Time hasn’t allowed people to grasp how bad she was. Soon.
Edit: re:HW, I said once the election was over, I was gonna chill on it. I keep up with news, but I’m not forming opinions. We will see what actually happens soon, and I am not above trashing someone I voted for. I have much higher hopes this time. If he doesn’t deliver shit to the people who got him elected, like minorities and poor people, dudes in NC etc, he is a bitch boi.

-Smak
So voting for a billionaire so he can appoint billionaires in his administration so they can... fix issues that made them billionaires in the first place?
If you said something like 'Trump selfishly helping himself will have deregulations that help my small business" or "**** Kamala she wanted to tax my cap gains and income over 400k more" you're at least being dogmatic and realistic.
Re: having buyer's remorse with my vote
The United States is an oligarchy. Elon Musk is our President.
Thank god we are raising tariffs on China so they can't import affordable EVs to compete with Tesla.

Elon is not scared of Nio or whatever chinese company. The tariffs will be to push his competitors out of the market as he gives himself duty free govt contracts.

They have stated manufacturing vehicles in china for tesla is 25% cheaper... yet he has one of the world's biggest plants in Nevada.
If these chinese companies want to compete, bring plants to the US.
Re: having buyer's remorse with my vote
The tariffs will have no positive effect because Tesla is paying whatever they gain in competitive advantage back to tech suppliers like foxconn.
Elon really wants a competitive advantage in the emerging market of self driving cars especially after big players like Google had pulled ahead. Now he has a friend in the oval office who owes him favors... that is where he is going to rake it in.
i never understood why you classify me as some "right wing crank". i'm economically left aka populist-left and conservative on social issues...which is really just traditionally center because the country has shifted so far left socially. what's right wing about being pro-m4a and pro tax payer funded public education beyond the 12th grade? you already know i'm staunch anti-war and anti-interventionist. i'm pro-union and pro higher wages. so ironically, what about all of that isn't [lower case] america-first?
just because i believe that there's biologically only two genders and am against illegal immigration that throws me to the other extreme end of the spectrum? i think my ideology is probably one of the most reasonable here.
btw - i don't "oppose israel" nor do i oppose their existence or right to defend themselves. i oppose the current israeli government, their overreach in the middle east, the ethnic cleansing and mass slaughter of palestinians and their plans to settle gaza, the west bank and probably southern lebanon. i also obviously oppose the power they hold over our government and the messes that they've got us into in iraq, syria, libya etc. on their behalf. not to mention i oppose their and what would end up being our war with iran which has the most dangerous potential out of anything else to.lead us into another world war.
Muh nigguh :applause: ...and I thought I was the only one here left on economic issues and socially conservative.

That means you guys are mostly left leaning, because the social stuff is almost always a nothing-sandwich. And on top of that the POTUS and Government have nothing to do with them.
You don't want men in women's sports? You don't want to remove Aunt Jemima? You want less black people in Super hero movies? These things don't really matter in our day to day lives at all.

I used to be liberal, back when liberals weren't nuts and a registered Democrat because I'm pro unions but Democrats have turned into GOP lite corporate owned whores...hard pass.

When were they not?
Re: having buyer's remorse with my vote
That isn't social, but isn't "GOP lite" still better than "GOP"?

The Democrats have been running on "we're not as bad as the GOP" for a long time now and it just doesn't work that well. People want actual change.

They want change, so go with the guy we've already had before. Makes sense.

You're referring specifically to Trump voters, who are a relatively small section of the country. What about all the people like me who didn't vote for either party? That's who Dems should be appealing to, with progressive, popular policies. Trump couldn't win if they ran on stuff like that.

People like you should be choosing the lesser of two evils.
