What's a boat race?
It’s when a team gets an early lead and blows them out the whole way and it’s not even close

Why is that referred to as a boat race?
Re: (1) Thunder vs. (8) Grizzlies First Round Playoff Series Thread
Every Thunder starter plus a bench player is in double digits.
SGA: 15 PTS
Dort: 12 PTS
JDub: 16 PTS
Chet: 16 PTS
Hartenstein: 14 PTS
Wiggins: 11 PTS
Re: (1) Thunder vs. (8) Grizzlies First Round Playoff Series Thread
A 50 point lead is ****ing crazy in a playoff game.
Re: (1) Thunder vs. (8) Grizzlies First Round Playoff Series Thread
Morant casually just muddles around behind the back board in the crowd like's he's gonna cry from the elbow while his team plays 4-on-5.
Throw in the grenade and pull him and the starters out of there.
Re: (1) Thunder vs. (8) Grizzlies First Round Playoff Series Thread
Morant could only hit 1-of-2 three throws to cut to the lead to 49. They definitely aren't coming back now, they needed that second one.

I thought it had to do with speedboats but someone looked it up and it’s about some famous row boat race where there is a part where the channel narrows down greatly so whoever takes the lead during that part will
But when it’s used in sports it usually just means a big time blow out. An embarrassing game that was never really competitive.
Re: (1) Thunder vs. (8) Grizzlies First Round Playoff Series Thread
Bagley with the alley-oop dunk. Cuts to the lead to 46. Thunder coach don't like that, timeout. :oldlol:

Would any team in the league want anything to do with Ja if they decided to trade?

If someone wants to take a chance on Jimmy Butler who has turned on every team he's ever been on, then yes, someone would take a chance on Morant.
