Lol Columbus did not stumble upon some perfect utopia. The brown people that were native to this land were slaughtering each other and stealing each other's land just the same. Seeing as America is the most free and prosperous nation in the history of this planet, it is safe to say that if you cannot find happiness living in modern day America then you would not have found happiness at any point or anywhere throughout human history. People from around the world risk their lives coming here all so they can have access to the luxuries and privileges you were handed at birth.

America is your home. If you're not happy with your home, you are welcome to leave and find a better home. One where you won't feel so guilty about living there. I don't think you'll be able to find many countries that weren't built on violence or conquest though. If you can find this peaceful utopia where everyone is thriving and there is no history of war or conflict I would love for you to send me a postcard.

How do you discover somewhere where there is already millions of inhabitants? And if you go by, well the land hasn't been discovered until white men discover it, Columbus wasn't even the first, vikings beat him by hundreds of years only difference is they didn't care to conquer, enslave and commit genocide and claim that land is rightfully there's like complete hypocrites. I think you need to do more research on the Vikings primo. They were known for showing up stealth in long boats in the middle of the night and just murdering, pillaging, and raping coastal towns all over the world. They even made it to India going down and around the southern coast of Africa. Not friendly good people bro. They were literally murderous pirates. That was their trabajo.

That's because the Vikings discovered Greenland and thought it was a huge PoS. They did discover Iceland and a few did settle there, though.

I think Columbus's claim to fame is that his discovery of the Caribbeans lead to new cartography that lead more Europeans there which ultimately resulted in settling in America eventually. How much 'credit' you want to give him is pretty speculative though, because he was given ships by Spain to find new spice trade routes to the Indies and thought he had landed there when he saw the natives. Yikes, imagine being literally the other side of the fvcking planet in terms of being off, talk about failing up.
