Re: wealth distribution in america
The idea though, that we only care about the things we actively protest is obviously quite dumb :oldlol:
To be fair you don't care about the things you DO protest for either. It's always just empty virtue signaling.
But yes, if you coordinate nationwide marches in honor of International Women's Day and there's zero mention of the women being oppressed by Sharia Law, that is a sign you don't give a shit about women suffering abroad. You'll see countless anti-Trump signs at those marches and people bashing MAGA but you'll never see a single person bashing Sharia Law.
Or better yet, imagine attending a women's right protest and having nothing to say about female spaces being totally erased in your own country.

This is called "projecting".
Since you don't care about other people. You assume that no one cares about other people.
I thought one of the primary goals of protesting was to "spread awareness".
Sure. But what would "awareness" of Sharia here have to do with laws in Iran?
Awareness of injustices at home, whether real or perceived, actually CAN cause shifting of tides and tangible, legal change.
Apples to oranges.

I did, and I’ve been singing this song for a while.
