In addition to more single-parent homes, blacks couldn't go to the same schools as whites in the 1940's or drink at the same fountain - they couldn't get the same kinds of jobs as whites and were 2nd class citizens... They weren't slaves but they were considered less than whites in the eyes of the law and couldn't get bank loans, etc

Part of the reason that African immigrants do much better then whites is because they're far better educated with Masters and Doctoral degrees and 5 languages - they aren't peasants off the boat like you're thinking..

And that's the issue with black Americans - they lack education, and that's due to the negative effects passed down from slavery like single parent homes for example

The answer to the problem is to do a trillion dollar education bill that sends every poor black kid to the same private school that Ben Shapiro's kids go to, or an equivalent... Free tuition and room and board... Build new schools if you have to...I guarantee that by the time they're like 10 years old, their entire mindset and outlook will be different

Ultimately, it shouldn't be a surprise that Africans that come here willingly do better than whites, and the ones that came unwillingly have more issues and struggles

And the reason that some blacks are middle class or even rich is because they had a great circumstance - 300 years has created some good neighborhoods and circumstances for some blacks, but not nearly enough ... Either their parents were already middle class and educated, or they're the "exception" that we're talking about - the one 5 generation roofer that decides to move to Silicon Valley and be a techie - the exception .. or they're kids of African immigrants - that's a big one...or they're mixed
