Re: SHAQ: Lebron will destroy Reaves upon return - so y'all LYING about Bron's high I
Reaves already seeing the reduction in shot attempts and less opportunities to make plays with the ball. It was going to happen regardless but don't act like Reaves is going to be able to cook the same way he did pre-Lebron when there's only 1 ball to go around.
Sure. But don't act like having another good player added to the lineup means that Reaves will be "destroyed" (in the OP) either. Lebron had the ball for 3 total minutes last night, despite the 12 assists. AND...all 4 of his baskets were assisted by someone else.
He wasn't pounding the rock and making Reaves sit in the corner.
Re: SHAQ: Lebron will destroy Reaves upon return - so y'all LYING about Bron's high I
The important thing is winning, not what stats whoever is averaging. James is guaranteed to affect the stats of anyone he plays with but which great offensive player doesn't effect anyone's numbers? If he makes the team worse then sure James is a problem but if it just means that Reaves averages 23 and 7 and the team gets to the conference finals? How is that a problem?
Re: SHAQ: Lebron will destroy Reaves upon return - so y'all LYING about Bron's high I
As LeBron keeps moving the ball and not dribbling out the clock he can fit in just fine.
But if he decides at any point he wants to be the focal point of the offense when Luka is on the floor the Lakers will be ****ed.

getting to the conference finals is nothing for an all-timer at their peak like Luka (or AD), with a great cast - getting swept in the conference finals is dogshit in this scenario.. and it's only Lebron's presence that prevents growing into more - maybe if he retires after this year, they can progress to being a title team thereafter.
you guys just lower the goat standard so the crappy accomplishment of your favorite player can meet the lower standard... you also ignore the countless examples of your guy STILL FAILING the low bar that you set, such as Lebron losing in the 1st Round with Luka as a big favorite last year, or doing the same with AD, and being lottery with AD or Ingram.. Lebron failed your low bar in all of these years, or 2009-2011.

all 11 ppg guys do that (i.e. they score mostly assisted buckets and barely hold the ball).
the issue is that when Lebron decides that he needs to score more, everything crumbles.
but for right now, he's taking my advice of being an 11 ppg "banger" caliber of scorer - like Charles Oakley or something... I made a whole thread about it
Ultimately, for Lebron to the "the guy" and get elite stats, he must dominate the ball and play a losing brand of ball (compared to his off-ball peers like Curry, MJ, Kobe or Duncan.. or Jokic)

This. If Lebron accepts his role player status, the Lakers might win the championship. If he doesn't, he'll go back to being a net negative and drag his whole team down. One net negative James on the team is enough. They don't need two.

It depends how it affects team chemistry and if he's able to dial it back and not force in 4th quarters come Playoff time. He has a bit of Kobe in him when it comes to taking 3s in the 4th when he's tired and they tend to come up short. Reaves was banged up in last year's Playoffs so at least there's that excuse but what I don't wanna see is Lebron hijacking the offense because he still wants to be that guy. It's fine if he plays like he did in his season debut by creating great shots for others.

Last season, Reaves averaged 28 ppg without Lebron and under 20 with him
That's called "destroying"
Meanwhile, Love went from 26 to 16 PPG and top 3 in all the advanced stats to outside the top 20
Similarly, Bosh, Hughes, Jamison, Westbrook and Ingram were also destroyed
Only Lebron has a long list of bad fits and teammates playing far below capacity, while never growing a single young player (zero players grew from low producer to meaningful producer on his watch - the exception that proves the rule is Reaves, who AD can take credit for - aka AD was co-scoring leader and the big off-ball assist target that young ballhandlers need to develop))
Re: SHAQ: Lebron will destroy Reaves upon return - so y'all LYING about Bron's high I
Holy crap I just watched Lebron's 11 pts - he just stands around - the worst off-player ever - he doesn't know how to run off screens.. zero IQ . A completely dumb player that STANDS AROUND when he doesn't have the rock . Zero instinct.. It's unbelievable that people have this guy #2 all-time.. He's literally a joke - a dumb ball-dominator that otherwise can't hoop - I would bench any player that played like him (standing around aimlessly)
Yeah I'm melting now because I just watched the highlights and I can't believe how bad lebron is at basketball.. He doesn't belong in the same sentence as Kobe, let alone MJ

How can they be superteams if LeBron makes his teammates worse? Basically what your saying is that LeBron had no help during his self dynasty during his journey to becoming the GOAT.

Lebron isn't even top 10 because no primary ballhandlers are in the top 10 - it's proven to be an inferior skillset because there's never been a primary ballhandler that was leading scorer/1st option for the best basketball, i.e. a dynasty (3 in 5) or dominant title run (1 loss average per round, 4 losses max)
Ultimately, excessive ball-dominance can't beat top teams, which is why Lebron never successfully carried the scoring load in the Finals, and he never carried weak help over top teams, aka never beat a top 5 SRS team with weak scoring & efficiency from a sidekick.. Lebron's inability to carry the "star" category of scoring requires more stars, which prevents the GM from finding the right "others"/defenders, aka elite roster construction... So ball-dominators prevent elite roster construction.

But how can you claim he makes his teammates play like shit with him... but call them superteams at the same time?

super-team relates to people's expectations based on the on-paper talent, i.e. 3 franchise players on 1 team = super-team and preseason favorite... that's the EXPECTATION... the actual RESULT is Lebron catastrophically losing via sweep, record loss or upset - that's the standard, with few exception, such as the rare teammate bailout or shortened season crap)
