Sounds far fetched and the NY Post is known for being creative in their story coverage.

Just sounds so silly when the article states "the pistol-packing point guards"...
Things havent played out the way the Wizards would have expected concerning Arenas the past few years, wow
Act 1, Scene 1
"Pardon me, Gilbert, but I believe that you must now honor your gambling debt and pay me the money I am rightfully owed."
"Alas, Javaris, that is not the case. I do not believe that I do in fact owe you any money."
"Again, Gilbert, I must insist that you pay me, as I wouldn't dare enter a new decade with this disagreement looming between us."
"Indeed, Javaris, unless we can agree to disagree, I must reluctantly show you this unloaded firearm that is contained within my personal storage area here in our employer's locker room."
"Ah yes, Gilbert. Allow us to then disagree, as I too would much enjoy retrieving my firearm as well. Shall we compare firearms, engage in some otherwise mildly threatening small talk and allow our ample frames to become, as it would be said, 'swoll'?"
"Indeed, Javaris. I would enjoy such a comparison, and I have not been 'swoll' in such a long time. Let us do as you have suggested."

will gilbert arenas be in prison?

i heard its a felony or something :wtf:

Re: Did Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton draw guns on each other?
The real question is can Washington void his contract if he is found guilty? If I'm the Wizards I'm doing everything in my power to give the cops the evidence to arrest Arenas. They might have just saved themselves $100 million dollars.

He didn't shoot anyone, so why would he be sent into prison?

1-5 year sentence in DC for doing what he did. If he was a regular person he would be dodging love advances from a cell mate by summer. That is the law but ask the Kobe fans what the law means to NBA players.

Bro do you have a malfunction or something? Your hatred toward Kobe fans, or anything LA related is weird. This thread has nothing to do with Kobe, and yet youve mentioned him twice.
Relax pal, and pop a xanax. Freak.

Jesus, talk about a total implosion. This man makes tons of bucks, and is just completely losing his mind. Whats up with Gilbert these days?

I love the Lakers and most of their decent fans. Kobe **** suckers how ever.........no. I only used Kobe a s a reference as to what kind of time any decent NBA player can expect to do for breaking the law. Like the royalty of old they live above the law. It is simply the way it is. Now if that fact makes your PP hurt that is your problem. Its your PP you fix it.

Re: Did Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton draw guns on each other?
In defense of Crittendon, Arenas pulled the gun first. If a man pulls a gun on me, and I have a gun myself I'm pulling out mine. Almost anyone would do that. Now, if the gun is unregistered, illegally concealed, etc. then some kind of punishment is still warranted. But it should be acknowledged that Arenas bears the majority of the blame if this report is accurate.
its illegal in DC to have a gun outside of your home. Just heard on NBAtv that the Wizards management said Arenas was keeping more than one gun in his locker. This is a felony in DC and that should be enough for the Wizards to void his contract. What a total idiot.

Re: Did Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton draw guns on each other?
Arenas already had problems in Cali with carrying a concealed weapon illegaly, plus didn't he have a gambling beef with DeShawn Stevenson? So this comes as no surprise if true.

OJ had to try repeatedly to get his jail time. Mike Tyson trusted Don King with his money and his lawyer choice. Mike's lawyer was a tax attorney. Don King had Mike's power of attorney and by the time Mike got out Don had spent much of Mike's money.

This. Athletes buy guns to protect themselves from crazy fans/jealous people. Crittenton doesn't have to worry about either.

Ask Plaxico Burress about that one. Gun laws can be pretty strict.

Re: Did Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton draw guns on each other?
If this really happened then its impossible for Gil / Javaris not to have any jail time. It's not like Kobe who could do an out of court settlement because there was a third party involved. I'm assuming Gilbert & Javaris would not press charges against each other for threatening them with a gun but they would still be guilty of carrying a gun outside of their homes.

Re: Did Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton draw guns on each other?
Pro athletes have just as right to bear arms as you bruh. What are you talkin about? :confusedshrug:
guns should only be held by police, security and the military in America? Lots of pro athletes in all major sports own firearms. You only hear about those who own them and make poor judgements. These dudes financial status is made public. contracts, incentives/bonuses, endorsement deals, what gifts they were given, the top grossing athletes of the year. They dont have an idea how much me and you make. But we have a good idea how much they are atleast earning. Therefore they become prey for wolves who would like to get some of that $$$$ be it material or that green stuff.
no i own guns myself, i have no problem with them owning them they just do stupid **** with them and/or take them places they have no business taking them, do you honestly think they need a gun in their locker? they become prey for robbery if they decide to go bang it up at the club, but like i said thats why you pay someone to watch you, you're going to get into far more trouble if you have to shoot someone, than say if an off duty cop does it. why even deal with the headache of an investigation/possible crimminal charges because you didn't follow the law? anyone can carry a gun, but you should be aware of just how easy it is to get arrested for using it even if you were justifiable there would be a lengthy investigation

Yeah some do stupid things with thier guns and shouldnt carry. I agree with that. Just saying some athletes do carry and are smart about it. Just the bozos, rotten apples who make it bad for the athlete not being responsible, smart enough to carry.
