Re: starbright, starlight, starface...
You made over seven thousand dollars TODAY? Nice lie. I won't let you live that down. Extrapolated over the course of 52 weeks (only counting five days a week) that would be over a million dollars. Let me guess, you also have a house on the east river and are a handsome man? Way to lie on the internet! I'll look forward to your made up justification as to how that figure is accurate. Even though nobody is gonna buy it. You just lied on the internet to impress a bunch of kids. Midlife crisis much?
7.2k isn't to outrageous really. I took my mom to the dentist today and this guy waiting in there was going in for a root canal and said it was going to cost him 700 bucks, so 10 root canals a day would get you 7k. And I'm sure Rufus has staff to pay and also insurance etc. so it's not like he gets the whole mill himself.

I didn't mean exactly 10 root canals a day, but he could do check ups or whatever at 2-3 hundred as well.

If I was about to graduate dental school and get married at 25 so i could go live in boobsville north carolina and spend my days trying to recapture my youth with a bunch of kids online and feeling resentment towards them for getting to do things i can't anymore, it would be a very dark time. I'm actually living in a bomb location, pursuing something exciting, and having fun along the way. You are rufuspaul, goofy looking internet creeper with a midlife crisis lying about how much he makes to kids on the net to try to impress them. sm my mother****ing h you loser lol.
:lol You're right. I should sell my house in Charlotte (a city of 1.5 million people with 2 major league franchises, hardly boobsville) and my other property in the mountains and on the coast of New England and sell myself for experiments for 17 days. That's a sound argument.
As for what I make you can believe it or not. I don't care. If you need validation, ask vapid what his dad makes.
But this thread isn't about me. It's about you and your dreams. We're pulling for you Starface. Keep reaching for the stars but please, please keep your feet on the ground here in the OTC.

... for all we know rufus could have been pulling molars all day. You take three patients, having all four molars extracted, that's anywhere between 5,500 and 6,500 right there.
Why are you going so far out of your way to try and disprove or make ill legitimate claims to something you know nothing about?
Fail.

let's just have him explain to us exactly what he did today that totaled 7k, AFTER expenses because he implied that he pocketed 7k, not that his business took that much in.

I wish - far from it. As it were, I'm actually beginning a new job tomorrow. I have spent the last six months or so writing news for a small newspaper in pseudo-rural Alberta. Beginning tomorrow, I'm starting working in shipping for an oilfield service company in Southern Alberta. It's not exactly what I dreamed of doing with my degree, but $21/hour plus a full benny package + plenty of OT + a lot of room for advancement is hard to turn down when you're 22.

What rufus did today at his practice is no concern of yours. Like he said, he doesn't need to validate anything. Fact remains, he's a dentist and you're a buffoon with no real future so you turn to whoring yourself to Hollywood; and the saddest part is you'll never be shit in Hollywood. Nice life, starbright.

Hey, if he wants to make claims, I'm sure he's capable of backing them up. I back up everything I say.
Don't worry joshy, i'll get to you soon enough. For now just catch your breath, I know you're feeling serious anxiety issues about the hand you were dealt, and that will be funny enough in time once I get to you. But for now let's let rufuspaul speak.

Hygiene today: 20 patients., $4,859 in production. (1 of those was a periodontal scaling and root planing procedure)
Doctor production: 10 patients., $5,120 in production. 3 crowns, 4 2-surface fillings, 3 extractions
Total production: $9,979 Total collection: $5,989

Wow, 30 patients in a day huh? As I look online, that's well above the average number reported.
Also, healthcaresalaryonline.com reports that the average annual salary for a dentist is 135k per year. But the figure you made today, averaged over a year, would be just over 2 million. My, you're doing well.
By the way, the figure I'm making, extrapolated over a year, is 148k

4 days a week and some days are much busier. The recession has hit us all but overall it's not been too bad. Now you need to realize that this is gross income. I'm sure Starface will remind us of that. It'll be fun to see what he estimates my overhead is.

There's some venom being spewed from all angles in here. Nothing but vicious snakes :ohwell:
Serious question for Starface- what have you done besides talking on a message board about what you're going to do? Not trying to be a d*ck, just wondering if you've taken any classes, have any footage for a reel, have you gotten any ross reports, what's your 5-year plan? Basically what cards are you holding that will make a casting director or agent take 15 seconds out of their day to acknowledge you exist besides your self-proclaimed awesomeness?

You have serious issues to do all this footwork in an attempt to disprove someone ONLINE, when there's absolutely no way you can validate your claim.

My father works M-F with Thursday off and works Saturday mornings. But we've radically cut down on the number of patients and focus on larger procedures, especially after he received a new implant degree. Eases the workload.

Actually the number of patients is low. I have 2 hygienists that are each capable of seeing 12 patients a day and I could see double what I'm seeing now. I don't know where you're getting your figures but for my area I am very average. Last year I grossed over 2 mil, taking home 390,000 before taxes. On the street where I live I probably have the lowest income. But who cares? I'm comfortable.

Implants are becoming more and more popular. To my knowledge the procedure, materials, etc is not covered by most dental insurance, because it's considered a cosmetic operation.

Well in your situation you probably won't have any tax hit on that since it will be the only income you make all year.
