This will be a solid move, I see KG being a good influence on this dude.
Marquis can play back up 3 man, but they may need some insurance there also.

I am not a Delonte dan but I hope he does good on the team considering I like the Celtics.
For the most hyped individual free agent off-season, Boston sure made some great low budget moves. Same for LA.
kg, Ray Allen, PP and fellow Celtic players got to protect their mothers from this mutha-****er

Especially Momma Allen. She attends the games. :lol

If Delonte keeps his head straight, great pickup for Boston.
Not sure I understand why they signed him. Is he going to guard Kobe, LeBron, Wade or Derrick Rose? Really? He'll strengthen their bench, but I still think they really needed to keep Tony Allen or find another wing defender.
I love it. You Miami bandwagoners are scared to death. Delonte West was the Cavs best man to man defensive wing player last season. Add to the fact that having him on the opposite side will now get into Lebron's head just like it did in the Celtics series.
GREAT SIGNING for the Celtics to replace Tony Allen. Delonte West is one of the best wing defenders in this league. In addition, he actually has an offensive game unlike Tony Allen.
This one hit the Miami bandwagoners hard.
Good signing. Boston looks pretty deep.
i HAVE to get tickets for opening night...
Good for Delonte for getting his career back straight, and if he isn't an idiot in Boston it will turn out to be a great pickup for them.
So many characters on this team. Please Rasheed come back
Ha!!! Good one. It would be the all comedy team say 5 years back. But too many of them turned in the comedy card lately for winning.

Just got my binky back! Woot.
great signing to accommodate the loss of TA
cant wait for this season to start!
to those mention rasheed... correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't he make his retirement official already?
I'm trying to decide if we signed him to fill a need or are just trying to sign the largest number of headcases ever. Shaq, KG, Nate, Delonte, Wafer and Rondo to an extent, Perk's a bit mental, never mind 'quis and his weird jewellery.

He's suspended 10 games, don't forget.
The Celtics should hire Artest's shrink. They have a bunch of nutcases; albeit, talented nutcases.

Lmao, I forgot about Wafer. If Sheed does come back, Boston is going to be the new JailBlazers but way better.
Oh shit they do have Wafer too  Anyone who thinks the Heat are coming out of the East are in for a rude awakening.
Lakers vs Celtics next should be great with the built in storyline of Kobe vs Shaq
the Lakers should be the favorites but the Celtics have the best shot at winning the title this year imo. they've added a tremendous amount of Defense and Rebounding (Rebounding was a weakness last year [see game 7] and with Tom T. leaving the additions of Shaq-Jermain-Delonte should keep the defense in tact).

repped!
Delonte West's Match.com profile

I have been more jealous of the Celtics success during my life than any other franchise (and I despise the Red Sox), but I will be rooting like hell for them, the Magic, the Lakers, and of course my Cavs.
Two goals this year: Enjoy the Cavs as much as I can. Make sure the Heat do not win a title. I actually have those in the wrong order.

I agree. The final 2 teams standing at the end of last season are still the 2 best teams in the league IMO.
Sleeping on delonte? His d is great
Yeah, I'll miss West on the Cavs.
Are they really allowed to sign him this late??
Edit: Oh shit I just noticed this is an old ass thread
:lebronamazed:
Holy Pauk!
I also thought this was a new thread.
He really should join the Lakers. He and Bronny could be the first ever grandfather/grandson duo to play together.
I loved Delonte West on the Cavs. Those were the best years of his career, but he went down a dark path and just never has seemed to recovery. When Mark Cuban gave him a chance I remember him for two things in Dallas. Poking Gordon Hayward in the ear during a dead ball, and him attempting this two handed dunk during a dead ball and coming up insanely short... :oldlol:

94% sure it is him the bench.
