Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
Why doesn't he just answer basic questions like Kobe has been taught to do??
Kobe was extremely arrogant when he was younger but he is not stupid. Lebron, on the other hand, is legitimately dumb. Look at the guy try to compose a sentence. Most of what he says doesn't make any sense.
So yeah, this isn't going to stop. The best he'll do is mature and learn to shut his mouth. But as soon as it opens, expect stupidity to spew out.
-
Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
I believe that you are exaggerating a bit, that could mean playing the low post more, if the team needs that. I do not think he is being egocentric at any time.
I think LeBron has physical and talent to spare, to play power forward perfectly. If you have not done before is because it's better forward, and produce more for that position.
I always thought after the trade to Miami, if he played more in the low post would be more compatible with Wade. And I think it's a good idea even though Bosh is completely healthy.

Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
He abused Ron Artest last Christmas. I would love to see LeBron play at the post.
Let see if he can show some decent post moves against Kleiza, Dorsey, and Weems.
we all recognize Lebron is bad at post moves. but can you at least evaluate the play more objectively instead of being a blind hater?
watch it again. on Lebron's turn to the right, Davis was waiting (that's a double team right there) on his next turn to the left, KG went over to help. if ever Lebron tries a high arc shot, KG would've blocked it.
one defender? lol. everytime Lebron goes in or even near the paint, Boston always packs that area with defenders.
watch it again. Lebron's best option would've been to shoot the ball on that first turn and wait for either Pierce or Davis to foul him. right at the moment KG came over to help, there were 4 celtics players around that paint area. if he didn't force the shot, his teammates were all open to make a shot.
Actualy genius, I'm a fan of lebron, not a hater at all...
Just because I criticize a stupid move he made, doesn't make me a blind hater :facepalm
Also if you watch it closely, he is already fkd by the time Davis comes over, he has no idea what to do with his pivot...
Then he spins around like a retard and kg comes over.
At this point it's a disaster and crap lob time:facepalm
Would have been better to pump fake, one dribble and pull up.

Post game isn't just scoring though right? Post game would take into account floor awareness (where the most likely double/triple would come) Defensive awareness (is it really that unusual for him to be double teamed?) and ability to recognize both the previous and pass out of the double team. How many big men get criticized for being reluctant to give up the ball?
Anyway that's just one play and i'm not trying to judge his entire post game from it but in saying that i don't think it should be defended because as an individual play it is a rather low IQ play that wasn't pulled off very well either.

1. Because scoring in the post is not worth making a GIF of, its not eye popping unless its a circus basket or a tribute to Kareems skyhook or something, but a GIF of him failing is worth making a GIF of as all haters join hands, tremble with excitement and sing kumbaya together.
2. Because i dont know how to make GIF's? :)
You don't even need to make a gif. Why not some youtube footage? Or you're gonna find more excuse?
Ill rather find more excuses, like:
I dont download games, dont know where to download games (i take it thats required to make GIFs right?), i am no movie making computer guru either, i watch games live instead, then i go to bed, then work for 9 hours, workout, go out with friends, check these boards to chuckle at your mindbogling comments, watch another game, then go to bed again. :)
I am not bothered with nor have time for your kindof obsessed "fandom" or "hatred" to consistantly roam and spectate for Lebron missing a basket, do a travel, turn the ball over just so i can spend useless minutes/hours to make GIFs out of it, then upload to the web so that my e-penile can grow by observing how other haters worship my GIFs considering they now can continue their radical bashing of what is probably the best player in the game.
I dont need to show you anything and you dont need to show me anything either, all of us watch the games, we saw when Lebron totally humiliated Ron Artest in the post over and over, then we saw Lebron missing a shot in the post the next game, then we saw him not play in the post at all. But any mature basketball in reality knows Lebron has an average/ok post up game, which he doesnt use that often, which he must improve.... but we also know you are an immature hater who think Lebron has a ridicilously bad post up game and has always failed there, a totally unoptimistic user who probably throws darts at Lebrons poster in his room and then kisses Kobes poster and then goes to bed with a big smile on his face.

Showtime was referring to the '09 Christmas game not the '10 Christmas game. Lebron did take Artest in the post a couple of times during the '09 game and score on him.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8O55LcVxf4
2:05
3:00
The moves weren't particularly "Hakeemesque" or really that impressive, but he did score on Artest in the post a couple of times. The one at 2:05 reminded me more of what Shaq used to do so often back in the day.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTGCCdmSSc0
In this video, at the :37 mark he takes Posey into the post and does a pretty basic jump hook. One thing I've noticed about Lebron when he does enter the post is that he seems to look to draw a double team and to pass more than he looks to actually score.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Lebron needs to study a truly skilled SF in the post. Eight freakin seasons and he has absolutely none of this in his arsenal right now...no drop steps, no up and unders, no shoulder/headfakes, no real footwork...absolutely nothing. All he can really do is back someone down and throw up an awkward shot. That's not a post game.

Nah. coin24 is absolutely right. A skilled post player should kill with the kind of space Lebron is given. I don't care how many Celtic players are "looking" at him. Lebron still has space to operate against Pierce and fails miserably. On his first pivot he could have easily thrown a little jumphook over Pierce but for some reason he paused (Davis wasn't even close to him) and didn't really know what to do next.

LeBron's post game fundamentals aren't terrible. His awareness goes from a 9 or 10 to a 2 or 3, though. He just doesn't look comfortable operating on the block.
