That thread is comedy gold.
:lol
Some fans they are. no one even posts in that forum. It's a ghost town there.
The Knicks under Woodson is the 4th seed pretty easily. Not only that but they are a defensive team with a bench. They are an unknown team because even they played in a very limited way under D'Antoni and without Amare under Woodson. If Amare plays in a lively way then they are like a 3rd seed team. With Woodson the Knicks will clog the lane and play disciplined defense. Miami becomes a strange beast once you get Wade and Lebron shooting jumpers, that's what makes them stumble over each other and they become a team without a leader, at least for a game or two.
I wish I could say the Knicks get calls but they don't. While they do have a bench with fouls to give its a loosing battle to go that route. But the Knicks can give them five close games, and with Carmello that's striking range.
Knicks have no shot whatsoever. Please tell me what New York does better than Miami. Any category? Any?
Do the 2012 Knicks remind anyone of the 2011 Mavericks, the team who had the exact recipe to beat the Heat?
Underdog status? Check
A veteran PG? Check (Davis)
Defensive C to protect the paint? Check (Chandler)
Deadly Go to Scorer with Clutch gene? Check (Melo)
Two/three defensive stoppers that can guard Lebron/Wade? Check (Shumpert, Fields and Jeffries)
A crazy goon that can hit 3s off the bench, and particularly in the clutch to ignite the crowd? Check (JR Smith)
Then you add Amare, Novak, and possibly Lin to that squad, and it's pretty easy to see that the Knicks have a legitimate shot at upsetting the Heat. People need to know, the Knicks are a lot better than their current record indicates. They're a completely different team once Woodson took over. If I'm the Miami Heat, I don't want the NY Knicks in the 1st round.
We can only hope the actual Miami Heat take the Knicks as lightly as their stans do on this forum.
How about everyone just worry about their own team. Damn the playoffs haven't even began yet, but there's people in here acting like kids. :facepalm
OP praying already Knicks eliminate Heat for them. :lol you think a Knicks fan would start this thread instead of a Bulls fan. :facepalm i'm gonna do the same and create a thread for these fools.
They have a shot, but it's a very small one.
Good luck to all the teams in the playoffs, maybe an upset happens, maybe it doesn't.

And coming from you, nobody will take the thread seriously....so yea.
I said SHOOTER, not SHOOTING. Read please.
Still better though. A slightly better rebounding difference can be the difference to who rebounded better.
Woodson shits on any defensive plays Spo can think of.
lets be for real though.
The Knicks and company want the Bulls because they know they can score enough points with Amare back and Melo playing this well. Bosh owned the Knicks this season even with Tyson Chandler there this season if i can remember right.
The only way the Heat would fall to the Knicks is when LeBron go into 2011 Finals mode and Wade and Bosh not stepping up while Melo and Amare playing lights out at the same time.
at the same damn time!
At the same damn time!
that is my shit right there!!!!
carmelo is turning up the game sliders as we speak

they're not the mavs. the mavs were a much better half court team. they had great pick and roll from terry and barea (and pretty good play from Kidd) and great ball movement. they shot the three very well. they were the best road team in the league.
knicks are not that great in the half court. they have bad ball handling and are extremely turnover prone. only novak is a good 3 point shooter. they are the worst road team of any eastern conference team.
also, amar'e is a complete and total joke on defense which is a huge weak link to overcome.
Every time the playoff time comes around the Knicks think they are going to do something if they are in it. Remember when they were going to do something last year. What happened then? The brooms were brought out by the Celtics and the fishing poles were brought out by the Knicks.

I think Knick have a little higher chance with Heat than Bulls. May be 12% vs 10% winning chance:rolleyes:

cant wait when you guys are pleading that ray was injured this time around the reason they got booted from the playoffs this year

Yea nobody got injured right :yaohappy:
And yall didnt win the first two games by the skin of ur ass :yaohappy:
I swear some boston fans are complete dickheads :yaohappy:
I want to make love with Bar Rafaeli.
That's hilarious, because the team that showed more effort against the Knicks this season was by far the Heat in their first meeting. And just a few days ago Wade rested before and after the Knicks game :lol
Miami went a few levels up when the playoff started? really? **** me sideway...
:facepalm
Pretty sure EVERY TEAM plays harder on the playoffs.
:facepalm
Just for example, Miami had lost all the games against Bulls in the regular season last year and lost all games except for 1 against Boston. When the playoffs came around none of those two teams had a chance.
knicks always look bad against the bulls because of rebounding.
i believe the heat are a better fit for the knicks.
that said, the knicks will put up a fight if health permits but i dont expect them to win against either team.
the heat dont have a center.
the bulls have two.

Summed the thread up in 3 lines perfectly. I give us a chance against Miami even though I feel they will win the championship. Chi on the glass scare the sh*t out of me. Much rather take my chances against Miami even though I think they're the better team than Chi. We just match up better.
I think out of all the lower seed teams, Knicks had the best shot of upsetting Miami, which is why I am glad the seeding turned out the way it did. Like I said before, I have watched every Melo and LeBron meeting, Melo has him beat in wins by 3. I never saw another small forward do better against LeBron and in the regular season. This is the first playoff meeting between the two, but we all know that neither have a great track record in the playoffs.
The Knicks definitely have a shot. The Heat (w/ the exception of Lebron) have been playing like trash for the last month, and the Knicks are coming in hot. Plus Tyson Chandler is a real problem for the Heat when he's in try-hard mode. Melo is going to have to be almost flawless though, but he's a spotlight player. He'll try a lot harder against Lebron than he will against Deng.

we get it. you're not a homer
Tenchi Ryu is praying someone knocks out the Heat :oldlol:
we get it. you're not a homer
I am a homer. but I don't think the Knicks are going to beat the Heat this year . . . . I think they would have had a legitimate shot against the Bull had they gotten the right seed though . . .
I think the best stat to tell you about how good an offense is is assist/turnover ratio. knicks are third worst in the league in that regard. that won't get it done. plus they're a crappy road team and a crappy three point shooting team.
I am just trying to be realistic. miami swept the regular season series. knicks don't really match up well to them. I think if they still played d'antoni ball, they would match up better.
