Dirty players. I hate guys who elbowed, or cheap shots their opponents in the face, or stomach.
Players who never passes the ball to an Open teammates.
Teammates who do not switch on pick and rolls and then blame you for them not switching even though I say "switch" to them.
Just as bad as a ball hog is a shot hog. They just shoot and shoot and shoot and yeah they may make some but they miss a lot to.
When your on a team of people who know each other and have played together before so they just pass to each other and almost never to you.
Maybe they just don't want to play.
:biggums:
I mean these guys NEVER want to play. Yeah sometimes people want to do their own thing. But if it's the 10th time?
This doesn't really annoy me but once you play at our gym for a few years, there is a certain group of people who play within their own group. Unless you looked really ripped or you're tall, they would rarely pick you up. All of them are great players some are former college ball players. I think one time we called next and got rocked 11-2 and 11-4 in consecutive games and they were barely trying.
Also about 2 years ago, we played a team with everyone in the lineup being at least 6'3''+. We only had two dudes out of 5 who were over 6'0'', one was 6'1'' and the other was the tallest on the court at around 6'7''. This 6'4'' guy guarded me, I'm 5'9''. I got rejected like 6 times. :lol
On the fast break, I tried getting his missed shot's rebound. He missed 2-3 times in a row and easily rebounded over me lol. Talked a ton of trash too :facepalm. Didn't mind, I thought it was pretty funny myself.

Happens SO often at my gym at night if you go after 10pm. It closes a 12 on weekdays and 10 on weekends. A lot of people just play ball during that 2 hour gap period to finish off the light cardio after their workouts.
Occasionally you see a dude shooting around with a girl he was working out with, that's usually annoying if you only need one more and you know he probably won't offer to play so you end up having to do like 4 v 4 with an alternate.
guys who refuse to suck me off after the game...
im gay, always been. it sucks how little gay people i come across in normal public settings.
obviously i go on gay dating sites and next year ill be able to attend gay bars... but in the mean time it sucks holding back my feelings all the time.
im not ashamed of being gay but its a major ****ing inconvenience sometimes. ugh.
and yes, im in therapy.

KiiiiNG of ISH.
PERIOD!
I mean these guys NEVER want to play. Yeah sometimes people want to do their own thing. But if it's the 10th time?
Why would their answer change just because they keep getting asked the same question?
How about the bitches who NEVER want to play a pickup game?
"Yo you guys wanna play, we're trying to run 3s"
"Nah we're good" (we just wanna stand over here and jerk each other off)
fcking hate that shit. If you're injured or are gonna leave soon then whatever, but why wouldn't you want to play?
Maybe they are about to go lift weights and shooting around as a warm up to get their blood flowing and don't want to get caught up in a game and get worn out.
At this point of my life; Weight lifting > My basketball career is where my priorities are.
Either that or you're that fggt that never passes the ball, calls every ticky tack foul and yells at teammates when someone abuses you and they just don't want to play with you
When guys try to re-enact what they did. ie- you call travel and then it's this ridiculous "NO. NO. I did like this..." and then they try to show you how it was their pivot foot or something, like their slow mo reenactment is an accurate depiction of what happened.
Or when cats want to "shoot for it" every time you make a call. Dude, you were out of bounds, we don't need to shoot for it. F*ck.
The people who play other sports especially football and think that playing defense is being all over the offensive player and hacking and fouling. If you do not even know how to play defense please do not waste our time by playing basketball stick to your sport.
I've been playing with a guy lately that thinks playing legal physical defense is a foul and he uses that as his excuse to hack the shit out of people
I've been playing with a guy lately that thinks playing legal physical defense is a foul and he uses that as his excuse to hack the shit out of people
What is legal defense anymore? I think in college just touching the ball handler is a foul
Players who commits traveling violations, and illegal screen
Players who commits traveling violations, and illegal screen
The hard picks yeah. I'm talking about the ones where you know the guy is trying to blindside someone. That shit is just trying to hurt people...not cool.
You know what else annoys me. The guy who doesn't try to play any defense cuz he got matched up with a kid. I'm the one who comes looking for that cheap block. Come to think of it, I'm probably annoying to a lot of people for doing that I do it because that's always the games I remember having the most fun when I was a kid. Felt like I belonged when I wasn't given any easy ones. I also do it because it's fun to feel like Shaq for a moment in my life :lol
Yeah. I broke my shoulder when that fat dude blind side me.
1. Hack you close to the basket on a guaranteed layup.
2. Lie about the score, hoping you forget and then proceeding to argue the point.
3. Celebrate like a clown.
Yeah. I broke my shoulder when that fat dude blind side me.
Hopefully it fixed your game? Wasn't like you were doing any good with your arm healthy :D
jk
1. Hack you close to the basket on a guaranteed layup.
Bruh, this streetball. No easy basket. I'd hack you every time you come in the lane. Better use that strength.
3. Celebrate like a clown.
Unless it's a mean crossover and homie fall, than yes. Who celebrates during a pick up game.

I don't really celebrate but if I am in a heated game where there is a lot of trash talk and a lot of tension, I will/would/already have chest bump my teammate after hitting a Reggie Miller off the screen type game finishing 2 :pimp:
But yeah, celebrating is pointless. Usually say good game and shake everyone's hand.

Agree on these.
I can remember playing a pickup game at school and some asshole decided to jump into me after I had released the ball on a layup and was coming down, twisted/banged one of my knees and I was out for the rest of the day (and several more after that).
The guy who wants to play down low on offense but calls fouls all the time if you want to play in the post you need to man up and stop being a baby.
:lol I'm having fun reading these. I get annoyed by ball-hoggers and guys that think the whole game is about driving into a cluttered mess of people and trying to do a cool looking layup.

Yeah, that's when you need to ballhog :lol Grab a rebound, run down the court and let it fly.
When someone calls a moving screen who calls a moving screen in pickup basketball
When an offensive player with the ball jumps into and calls a foul
The belly poke infuriates me but I never let anyone know it because they'd do it every time. :lol
Dirty players like Draymond Green
When an offensive player with the ball jumps into and calls a foul
About 10 years ago, I used to play basketball with a guy who'd do that regularly. He was a solid basketball player but typically had awful shot selection
