Lebron by miles. To compare Lebron to such a inferior player like Kobe is a disgrace. Pre-prime 09 Lebron lead a cast of trash to 66 wins and the ECF and had already led trash to the finals 2 years before, while PRIME Kobe could not even win a single playoff series in the 3 seasons he had without a HOF big man, going first round KO as a 7th seed twice and missing the playoffs the other time....and you want to compare pre-prime Kobe to pre-prime Lebron despite pre-prime Lebron being way better than even PRIME Kobe???
LeBron's 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2013 are in all sincerity better than any of Kobe's best seasons. Both regular season, and playoffs. It's just being honest.
Under similar context as team leader, best player for their franchise ... the only ones you can use to compare to LeBron's best seasons are Kobe's 2003, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Kobe's impressive scoring seasons in 2003, 2006, and 2007 are not significantly better than LeBron's 2006, and 2008.
And that's no significant knock on Kobe, those are all-time great regular seasons, and in 2009 / 2012's case great playoff runs.

I know, Kobe's 2008 is just flat out significantly better than LeBron's 2013 run. Upon reflection and further examination. LeBron's 2013 regular season was ridiculous. His 2013 playoffs were at times kind of pathetic.
LeBron played underwhelming the entire playoff run in the East. I think his playoff numbers were actually below his regular season averages. His FG% certainly dipped big time. No more cherry picked opportunities.
LeBron played below average against atrocious competition. And then played mediocre at best ball through the first 6 1/2 games of the Finals.
Scared to shoot wide open jumpers? Fans jumping off his bandwagon during the critical moments of the series? You have got to be kidding me.
That 2008 Celtics team and defense is way better than the 2013 Spurs. Not even close. Kobe was swarmed by prime James Posey, Tony Allen, Paul Pierce and shaded with prime Garnett. All while his sidekick cowered in fear from KG.
Meanwhile Wade literally won Miami a game on the road in San Antonio with his take over abilities.
How dumb can you be?
Kobe plastered a 2008 Spurs, which is basically a superior version of the 2013 team. With a better, younger trio of Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker. And they defended Kobe with an great on ball defender, Bruce Bowen. They actually played defense on Kobe.
They didn't sag off, dare his manhood and skills to shoot wide open jumpers. Stop.

lol.. everybody knows the ONLY reason you're saying this is because Bron shot a historically high efficiency that year and if he keeps it up shooting near 60%FG and 70TS he will be considered better than Michael Jordan.. thus your attempt to downplay it in comparison to Kobe so it is untouchable in comparison to your gawd.
Lebron;s season pre-2009/2008ish were not better than Kobe's because at that point in his career Lebron had yet to become great on the defensive side of the ball. At the very end of his Cavs tenure and going into Miami especially his defense became elite, before that it wasnt at all.
Kobe 2003, 2001, 2008 are all better than Bron 06, 08 and anything else before 09 because he was a legitamate two way player, clutch as hell in the playoffs, and put up dominant numbers in a more physical and tougher defensive era.
09 Bron is easily better than 03 Kobe.. that was probably Lebron's best year ever aside from what hes doing right now and 03 Kobe wasnt even the best version of Kobe.
thus your attempt to downplay it in comparison to Kobe so it is untouchable in comparison to your gawd.
Your gawd is Kobe. You have a rooting interest in this comparison. I'm being pretty un-biased.
I will give you that 2003 era defenses were more physical, and that does give insight into some better perspective of scoring numbers.
With that said 2006, and 2007 were insanely soft, giving way to ridiculous amounts of free throw calls.
In 2008, refs calmed down on the over protective calls on the perimeter. LeBron won scoring title that season with 30 ppg. Kobe hasn't averaged 30 ppg or above since 2008.
03 Kobe wasnt even the best version of Kobe.
I don't know if this will make sense to you, but to me, it's easier to make the game hard for Kobe but harder to shut him down. For Lebron, it's harder to make the game hard for him but easier to shut him down.
Good teams with good defensive coaches have consistently been able to shut down (contain) Lebron as long as their players stick to the game plan and are able to execute it.
There's only so much you can do against Kobe however. You can force him into taking tough shots, but he's still taking them and coming hard at your team.
Lebron was ridiculous that year in both the regular season and the playoffs.

I didn't say that it's a joke of a championship or run. I think 2008 Kobe's run is better. That's all. LeBron's 2013 playoffs was totally underwhelming considering the hype he built up during the regular season.
How can you not admit that? Are you that stubborn, or just delusional?
Your retarded denial of the fact that I acknowledged entirely LeBron > Kobe. I said the vast majority of LeBron's best seasons are better than Kobe's best seasons.
So, per me: LeBron > Kobe.
Which makes LeBron's short comings in the 2013 playoffs, and Finals all the more glaring when compared to his: 2012 playoffs, 2012 Finals, and 2013 regular season.
Nope, not from moe94. Deny, deny, deny. 2008 Celtics > 2013 Spurs. LeBron's Heat faced 3x sub 50 win teams in the conference playoffs for christ sakes.

And in 2008 Kobe only took 20 shots per game as compared to 27 at his peak in 2006 because his team improved in strength and it was no longer necessary for him to shoot as much.
Lebron took 2 more shots to score 2 more points and had lower overall efficiency than Kobe did that year...
2001 and 2008 Kobe are the best versions of Kobe imo.. He was one of the best offensive players in the league.. second behind peak shaq and even had advanced statistics on par with him in the playoffs. And at the same time one of the best defensive perimeter players in the league.. especially in 08 when he was the vocal defensive leader on a top 5 defensive team in the entire league.
Now that I re-read a few of your posts they dont follow each other.. Like you saoid Lebron's 08, 09, 10, 12, and 13 seasons are all tops anything Kobe ever did.

I meant in totality. A sum of their works. I'd say Kobe's best seasons are 2001, 2003, 2008. I definitely think LeBron's pre-prime 2006, and 2008 can compete with Kobe's 2003, 2006, and 2007 while IN his prime. LeBron's best seasons combined are better than Kobe's best seasons combined.
But then you say 08 Kobe>13 Bron.. like wtf.:oldlol: How can that be when Bron's 13 is arguably better than all of his other seasons besides maybe 09. Makes no sense..
I said Kobe's 2008 playoff run is better. LeBron's 2013 regular season was better than 2008 Kobe's regular season. But when it came to the playoffs, and Finals ... he was very underwhelming. Where as Kobe really impressed me in his 2008 run. It was clearly better than his 2x previous seasons as leader, where he too was underwhelming in comparison to his regular seasons.
LeBron's seasons, much like Kobe didn't always put together the entire package. LeBron's 2009 is probably his best season in totality. Like regular season and post season performance. 2012 regular season wasn't his best, but it's the only post season comparable with his 2009 in terms of quality. His 2013 is his best regular season alongside 2009, and 2010. But like 2010, his playoffs were disappointing.
Am I beginning to clear things up for you now? It sounds confusing, but it really isn't. Kobe had impressive 2006, and 2007 seasons. But weak playoff runs. Kobe's 2009, and 2010 regular season were great regular seasons, but definitely weren't as good as LeBron's 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2013 regular seasons.
