Was this a straightforward real estate transaction, or was this an effort to win favor with the new administration? The woman, Angela Chen, refused to discuss the purchase with the media. The White House and the Trump Organization would not comment on it. Further investigation by Mother Jones has unearthed a new element to the story: Chen has ties to important members of the Chinese ruling elite and to an organization considered a front group for Chinese military intelligence.
I believe this is the head of that committee, who's angry that they didn't get the information from the laptop so they would have had all the evidence. On the flip side, he's also asking for the FBI to come out and say if they believe the emails are fake, but I don't believe they have.
Very likely that some people on that committee could be compromised as well and be in on a cover up. Like with Burisma, Joe's family is not the only one that gets paid.
This is what they do, they silo up the information and investigations so no one ever has to connect the full picture in order to claim someone are doing things right. On committee approves or disapprove of work done by the people in one of two parties, and all refer to each other for confirmation that they're not corrupt.
"Oh Hunter and his buddies made a deal, well we can look at that. Oh the taxes are paid in the US from money made on this deal? Then all good and even though the connections might cause a worry, it all looks good from our end where we only look at his business from a tax paying perspective". Where they really should be saying, "well we need to have a look at the communication and transactions between Hunter, his business partners, Joe, as well as the rest of the family".
Anyways, here's the quote.
In the letter to Wray, Johnson details that a whistleblower contacted his committee on September 24 regarding Hunter Biden's hard drive, which was left water damaged at a computer repair shop. The owner told the committee that he handed the MacBook laptop over to the FBI.
Johnson noted in his letter that his staff immediately asked the FBI to confirm or deny certain details to better validate the claim made by the whistleblower, but the bureau said they would not comment on any of the information.
'[T]he committee must know whether the FBI has assessed the validity of materials the whistleblower has provided, and what, if any, actions the FBI has taken since obtaining this information,' Johnson continued in his note to Wray.
The Wisconsin Republican senator said his questions about what the FBI knew about what was found on Hunter Biden's hard drive and when they knew it speaks to a 'larger issue.'
'Why did they sit on it? Are they covering up just because Hunter Biden might be engaged in things that also maybe should have been investigated and possibly prosecuted? Do we have two systems of justice: one for Democrats and one for Republicans? One for the well-connected versus one for the rest of the Americans?' he asked the Fox News host.
Maybe someone within the FBI, yes that's a possibility. Same way that you insinuate that the Director of National Intelligence is in on it for Trump.
Look it can't all be true or false.
Either the FBI had or didn't have this laptop for almost a year, and if head of that committee is asking them about the information on it, it certainly sound like they had it. Kind of the same with the subpoena we were discussing.
So if they did have the laptop since December, either the FBI did nothing with the information because it's not criminal, or they did an investigation and found the emails to be fake, or there's an active investigation for almost a year.
I think the last option is the information is real and someone there did nothing on purpose, either in corporation with Biden/DNC, maybe to get them back into power. Or the alternative is someone there did it on their own, with it being something that could then be used to blackmail the next President if he won.
If the FBI believes these emails are faked by Russians, then it's national security threat and Ratcliff should be aware.

No, we're talking about legality. But lets put that aside for now.
Okay so Kushner, who has little experience in the middle east has been in that position for three years... during the three years he served that role - what has he done wrong to show he didn't deserve that role? Last I recall it was Obama that ran under the lines Bring our soldiers home -- I paraphrase -- but I don't think that was done until his second term and I believe ISIS grew under his watch. My name is Tony Bobulinski. The facts set forth below are true and accurate; they are not any form of domestic or foreign disinformation. Any suggestion to the contrary is false and offensive. I am the recipient of the email published seven days ago by the New York Post which showed a copy to Hunter Biden and Rob Walker. That email is genuine.
This afternoon I received a request from the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs and the Senate Committee on Finance requesting all documents relating to my business affairs with the Biden family as well as various foreign entities and individuals. I have extensive relevant records and communications and I intend to produce those items to both Committees in the immediate future.
What I am outlining is fact. I know it is fact because I lived it. I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family. I was brought into the company to be the CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to “the Big Guy” in the much publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden. The other “JB” referenced in that email is Jim Biden, Joe’s brother.
Hunter Biden called his dad ‘the Big Guy’ or ‘my Chairman,’ and frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing. I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business. I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, because it wasn’t just Hunter’s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.
I realized the Chinese were not really focused on a healthy financial ROI. They were looking at this as a political or influence investment. Once I realized that Hunter wanted to use the company as his personal piggy bank by just taking money out of it as soon as it came from the Chinese, I took steps to prevent that from happening.
The Johnson Report connected some dots in a way that shocked me — it made me realize the Bidens had gone behind my back and gotten paid millions of dollars by the Chinese, even though they told me they hadn’t and wouldn’t do that to their partners.
ouch. dagger in the heart.
Part left out from the subsequent conversation:
What is not clear yet is whether Joe Biden had secret stakes in any of Hunter’s other deals. As for this one, while the date on the May 2017 email would be nearly four months after Biden left the White House, it’s not known when discussions among the partners and with the Chinese first began. Certainly they started before the email.
That was lodged into the middle of the NY post article. Until those 2 things are cleared up, we don't have a open-and-close case.

Re: Odds of being true?
Elected presidents can pick and choose who they want as advisors. Whether you agree with that or not is a matter of opinion. Jared Kushner is a Harvard Grad with a degree in government. When we talk about Hunter walking away without dishonorable discharge -- we're talking about possible corruption when everyone else who tests positive for drugs in their system during their service are discharged dishonorably.
You previously posted about me not answering your question and followed up. But you didn't answer my question in regards to what Hunter is doing on a foreign country's board with no experience. Oh wait, you wont defend him and are doing what you accused me of doing... side stepping the question.
Hunter is a lawyer who got his degree from Yale (after transferring from Columbia University). Very difficult colleges to get into. He was also on Amtrak board appointed by President George Bush (few years as vice-chairman of Amtrak board). He also started his own investment firm and lobbying firm. There, I answered your question.

His dad was a Senator when President George Bush appointed him to the Amtrak board as vice-chairman.
