They’re 3rd in all of baseball in OBP and OPS. And Dansby and Ozuna haven’t even started hitting yet. The lineup is fine.
Pitching is the issue. It seems like every time we’re down and score runs to get back in it, the pitching immediately gives it back. Can’t sustain any momentum that way.

The Atlanta lineup is top heavy. Those OPS and OBP numbers are being carried by Acuna and Freeman right now. It has also helped to get Pache's nothing bat out of the lineup for 2 weeks.

That’s the thing though. The numbers are being borderline carried by 2 guys but the others, who are capable of more, haven’t started yet. Ozzie and Riley have begun to heat up and Ozuna and Dansby should be next.
Freddie and Acuña have already kind of cooled off and the offense is sustaining.
We’re not getting what we need out of Smyly and Morton. And obviously the injuries to Soroka, Fried, Martin, and Newcomb have been killer.
Really bad loss for the Braves.
We’ve now played 4 extra inning games and have lost every one of them without scoring a single run. 4 times with a runner on second and no outs. ZERO runs. 4 losses.
Un fvcking believable

Jays get Springer to play now. They should catch up Red Sox sooner or later.

Yea they’re a really good team. When Ryu is back that’s a legit 95 win squad i think.
Doesn’t excuse the Braves’ bullshit
Grats to Means on his no-no  That fastball-changeup duo was doing work.
Mets gave Lindor a 10 year $340 million contract without him even playing a game for them. I know everyone would be clowning them if they didn't sign him before the season and he was struggling (hmmmm he must be pressing because he hasn't gotten paid yet!). But what the hell are they supposed to do when this guy busts? 10 years of this bum? At least move him to the 8th-9th spot in the lineup.
Angels just released Albert Pujols. End of an era? One last go around with the Cards?
And yeah, 10 year contracts are bad in baseball. Just look at Pujols. There's a reason why the Angels are wasting Mike Trout's career. They can't afford to put good pieces around him.

It's been one month. Chill :lol
I understand that it's all doom and gloom at the moment but in July when the Mets win 10 of 12 and Lindor hits .500 during that stretch you won't even remember April.
It's early in the season but the White Sox currently have the best record in baseball...without the services of two of their best players in Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert...like I said, prepare thine anus

Rodon has been an auto win every time he starts. Where the hell did this come from :lol

Lance Lynn too...dunno what's going on but our starting rotation could hang with anyone's, along with our offense. Andrew Vaughn and especially Yermin Mercedes have been a much needed shot in the arm after losing two of our best starters.
Our GM Hahn has made some great draft picks and trades but he fukked up big time tarding Fernando Tatis Jr...imagine the insane offense of this infield, Jose Abreu, last year's MVP at 1B, Tatis Jr. at 2B, Tim Anderson at SS and Yoan Moncada at 3B

The White Sox have been fun to watch but Larusa needs to go as he sucking some of the fun out of team
As a A's fan I always enjoy seeing the Angels struggle but as a baseball fan it is a shame they wasted Trouts career. 1 playoff series in 10 years is a joke

Love watching Lance and that infield would have been oozing machismo. The batlips alone

The division is open but I’m not sure I trust that offense long term.
The injuries to Louie and Elroy are gonna hurt as the season progresses I think.
Wake me up when the Braves stop sucking. A team that was one win away from the World Series last year.

I dunno man, Sox were without last year's MVP Jose Abreu last night (along with our slugger Jimenez and Robert) yet they were able to muster 16 runs vs the Twinkies...they aren't hitting the long ball (yet) but they are getting on base and driving them in.

Well anything can happen in one game. Or one series. Or even a month.
Over 6 months things get trickier. I like what I see from Madrigal though.

I don't even know how the Mets are beating them :lol half the team is injured and Lindor is under .200. deGrom is hurt yet Mets are winning (except against Tampa who swept them).
The entire MLB has become unwatchable. The entire league average for hitting right is .236. This is the lowest it has EVER been.
Pathetic. Every batter is swinging for the fences and they whiffing at an alarming rate. Gone are the days of the slap hitter who would just try to make contact and put the ball in play.

The White Sox are surprisingly amongst the lowest home run hitting teams yet have the best record in the AL and by far have the best run differential so go figure :lol

Francisco Lindor received what I have to say are his heaviest boos to date as a Met after grounding into a double play in the fourth. Lindor is in a 6-for-39 (.154) funk.
Earlier today, GM Zack Scott compared Lindor's slow start to that of Carlos Beltrán in 2005:
I'm glad I didn't make some stupid comment about Riley when I was criticizing the Braves offense.
Probably a little hard on the Braves because I'm bored with the Dodgers dominance over the NL.
Tigers clobbered the Yanks today 6-1 on just 7 hits without much help from Cabrera and every Yankee struckout, I thought that was odd. How often do the Tigers score 6 runs without a hit from Miguel?
I don't follow anyone but the Mets or NL East much... is Fernando Tatis Jr supposed to be one of the best in the game? I know he's a youngin, but the dude is clutch as hell even though he got some help on that foul popout drop :lol I guess Trout when he isn't hurt also gets hype, so does Ohtani but they both play on the same bad team.
What'd ya'll think of flamethrower Octavio Dotel?
Y'all hear about that Trevor Bauer incident with a woman? Get this guy out of baseball and locked up, real disturbing shit.
Sox in the AL East lead and the Yankees 9 games back and continuing to implode. Life is good.
Y'all hear about that Trevor Bauer incident with a woman? Get this guy out of baseball and locked up, real disturbing shit.
Couldn't have happened to a more worse person than Bauer. That guy thought he was hot shit and look at him now. Dodgers are f*cked.
The White Sox are a MASH unit atm but still finding a way to get it done, 1st place baby
Y'all hear about that Trevor Bauer incident with a woman? Get this guy out of baseball and locked up, real disturbing shit.
Dodgers look real bad here. They basically washed their hand of any responsibility by saying it was up to MLB. Friedman and Doc needed to realize they cant put him out on the field while the investigation is going on.
What'd ya'll think of flamethrower Octavio Dotel?
This is a weird question, Dotel was in the White Sox like a decade ago, hasn't he been retired for a while now?
I think Dotel killed somebody or was killed himself.
I think Dotel killed somebody or was killed himself.
That's weird because I don't see that with a Google search, only that he was involved in some shady business a few years back but was cleared of the more serious stuff, certainly nothing to do with murder or being murdered
Marlins hit Acuña again last night and Jomboy is all over it :oldlol:

Yeah I think I got the wrong Dominican :lol

I'm unfamiliar with such a claim. Dude was money with the Astros, he looked like he'd be the ballot.
