Come on bro.

I get two picks now, right?
Are we building a starting 5? 6? 7?

10 rounds, so a team of 10, with a starting 5 and a bench. I'd build out your starting 5 first
I pick Moses Malone and Chris Paul
G: Chris Paul
F: LeBron James
C: Moses Malone
Kawhi Leonard.
C - D-Rob
F - Kawhi
G - MJ

We even. I was gonna pick Russell. :lol
I'm going all in on defense
My pick is Scottie Pippen
Shaq
Russell
Pippen
Coming along nicely
Easy choice. Bill Walton.
Walton has the most underrated peak of all time. Dude won MVP/FMVP over peak Kareem/Dr.J. He's right up there as best defensive center ever at his best on top of being an elite scorer and passer.
C: Walton
PF: Duncan
SF: Bird
Filthy trio.

Not many are aware of how good Walton was at his peak
Dr. J., Julius Erving is my next pick.
PG:
SG:
SF: Julius Erving
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
I'll take Dirk.
I'll take Dirk.
Nice.
John 0824 is on the clock but I think he said he was going to sleep so we might have to wait until he wakes up.

Walton would have been my choice if D-Rob wasn't available, I like that D-Rob has the athleticism to play some perimeter defense if caught on a switch so I went with him.

Walton has an underrated peak by casuals while many people overlook just how dominant D-Rob was as a defender.

I knew Drob wouldn't fall to the 3rd round, it was a good pick for you. Definitely got some great athleticism so far.
Walton isn't an other world athlete but he's a very mobile big, and I'm going for a high IQ/quick decision making team and Walton fits perfect. Outside of Jokic I'm not sure there's a better passing big.
I feel like rim protection is paramount in a draft like this, so having two high IQ and mobile rim protectors like Duncan/Walton is huge.
My turn? I'll take AD.

The values simply too insane to pass up this guy in the 4th round.
D-Wade

The value is great, the fit with magic is iffy.
But he gives you elite perimeter defense at the least which your team needed.

Totally agreed about the fit with Magic, which made me a little hesitant about taking him. But I think what Wade provides makes him worth it. Plus I'd hate to see someone else snag him :lol
You have to wonder at what point do you start going with "fit" rather than drafting the most talented. It's a concept I've struggled with in these past drafts.

I really considered it here, but I just couldn't in good conscience pass up Wade in the 4th round. He's usually taken 1-2 rounds before that, and in his prime he really was just that good. Imo if the talent advantage is significant enough, I'd usually take talent over fit. Wade was at minimum a clear level above whoever else I was considering. And like I said, I also didn't want to cede him to someone else.

In drafts like these I feel there's a deep enough talent pool to be thinking about fit/philosophy from the jump. There's a lot of extremely talented guys left... but I won't pick them in any round because fit/philosophy is more important.
I like 87 Lakers team atm. Three deadly scorers and all nba defence. Interested to see how your teams play out

I need a dead eye shooter on my team. I’m going Klay Thompson.
Wanted D Wade in this spot, but SouBeach grabbed him.
Gotta go McGrady here. From 01-03 he was a 38% 3 point shooter on high volume...on a garbage team with no spacing. Surrounded by Bird and company and...yeah. not to mention the length and athleticism. Fits with my high bball IQ/great passing mold as well. Peak McGrady was right up there with Kobe and I think he fits my team better

U made it easy cause I was considering Klay there. Klay fits your team very well
