Where are all the MAGA posters?
MEX president Claudia Sheinbaum is a cautious leader, she has yet to hit US imports with the tariffs since she knows tariffs hits her countrymen, unlike the Don who seems to think the exporting country pays them :oldlol: I guess unlike Canada and China, she wanted to wait and see if a deal can be reached with the Orange buffoon but she called a meeting for Sunday where she will slap on those tariffs, tit for tat...dis gun' b gud. Oh and good on Canada, they're making sure their tariffs targets and hit especially hard the red states for maximum effect haha, they still have a few cards up their sleeve, they should cut the electrical power the US gets from Canada :pimp:
Mexico was just given another month extension. It's a smart move for a couple of reasons. First divide and conquer, Trump doesn't have to concentrate on Canada, China, and Mexico all at the same time. Plus Mexico will be less inclined to join Canada in any joint resistance against the US for the time being. While Canada will feel the full immediate impact of the trade war. It's going to hurt them a LOT more even if Europe tries to help a little. Second of all the border is all but shut down to a trickle. Obviously a lot of this has to do with Mexico's help on the other side, at least until the border is permanently reinforced on our side

So he backed off...again
I guarantee he will say he reached an agreement with Canada shortly, maybe even with Chinaaah haha...you seem to not grasp that the US needs Canadian exports, Canada wants US exports, the US buys Canadian oil on the cheap, sure the US can use their own oil but that would drive gas prices up as they won't be getting cheap oil any longer and also a bunch of US states depend on Canadian electrical power, the US simply can't replace that quickly if Canada decides they won't supply it any longer as long as the tariffs persist. What part of that equation don't you get?
Wall Street called and talked some sense into that buffoon, Dow Jones was tanking again...
Oh and this is yet again Sheinbaum being a boss :pimp:
Another point Media Moderator, haven't you written here before a few times that these tariff wars were necessary, that sure it would cause economic strife for a long stretch but that the outcome (US getting their manufacturers back) would be good in the long run??? So what's up with that? All Trump's trade wars so far have accomplished is stock market uncertainty and making both Canada and Mexico, number one and number two buyers of US exports, start looking for more reliable trading partners than the US without the goal of US companies coming back home nowhere in sight...a heads up, that ship has sailed a loooong time ago, bud.

He's not backing off anything. It's just another month. Obviously Trump doesn't want Mexico and Canada joining forces. Plus there ARE some 25% tariffs going into effect for Mexico just not across the board. And for the month extension Mexico will send 25 cartel leaders hand picked by the US to be tried on our side of the border.
Ok bro :oldlol:

Obviously the tariffs work. Biden kept ALL the Trump tariffs in place when he took office. They are a bargaining tool for trade that is imbalanced. Look at the border. The Democrats had a 120 billion dollar border bill, that they said they needed to pass in order to secure the border, then said(along with Off The Court and Bladefd ) that Republicans didn't care about border security because they wouldn't pass it. Well most of the "border bill" was money going to the Ukraine. Trump got all that shit done immediately, without any stupid bill, with Mexico's help. Why didn't Biden ask them?
Trump will continue negotiate the best deals for the US as long as there are growing trade deficits. It's that simple. And why not? It's best for the country. He can ask for the moon but settle for a piece here, and a piece there. The Democrats will bitch and moan like Trump doesn't know what he's doing but they will keep all the gains he has won. Just like his border wall they expanded, just like the tariffs against China he put in place, just the the trade agreements with Mexico and Canada he got in his first term

So I guess Sheinbaum is not gonna slap tariffs on all American goods across the board? Just tit for tat I guess, we'll see on Sunday. Team Canada
Stagflation incoming, negative GDP growth per the Fed, job losses...y'all voted for this

To be fair we had to put an end to all those child transgender surgeries that were already illegal in every state and not happening anywhere at all.
And illegals were eating people's dogs. Somewhere I think. Pretty sure that happened.
Also 14 year old Becky lost her basketball game to a team with a dude on it. Unforgivable.
If we have to crash the economy to solve these issues, so be it.
Great time to buy, but big jobs report tomorrow - we'll see what happens.
Great time to buy, but big jobs report tomorrow - we'll see what happens.
Oh hell no. This is just the start of the tariffs.
If you buy the dip here, you are going to be buying 8 more dips after.
We aren't even close to the floor yet.
Great time to buy, but big jobs report tomorrow - we'll see what happens.
Reports don't mean shit right now. Nividia crushed their earnings report a week ago and their stock is still plummeting because of a lack of confidence in the overall market.
Great time to buy, but big jobs report tomorrow - we'll see what happens.
The jobs report already came out, it's in the video I posted in this page, pretty anemic. The Fed predicts a recession is sure to come...and Trump's low IQ trade war gonna make it much worse :facepalm

Their stock is plummeting because China has developed Deep Seek AI, that uses cheaper chips.

Hey, but let's cut Medicaid and Medicare and give the rich their tax cut!
Trumpers were in absolute shambles because eggs were a bit expensive. Lets see how they react to being out of a job.

That has been thoroughly debunked. Deepseek is some cheap open AI and uses $5b in nvidia chips.
Trump removed tariffs on Canada and now threatened tariffs as early as today, Monday or Tuesday. Dude is going insane. Just do it or don't do it. Get it over with already.
Trump says he wanted to give US auto-makers an extra month to prepare for the higher costs they will face. This is going to kill US auto.
And the one area I have always acknowledged the US economy struggled with during the Biden admin? Home prices. With the Trump tariffs home prices are expected to go up even further. Good news for home owners I guess. Horrible news for renters.

He's obviously showing early signs of dementia, it affects people differently, with Biden he would lose his train of thought and looked confused. Trump's symptoms are that he rambles incoherently and he's all over the place, sometimes on both sides of an issue. I doubt he finishes up his term. Maybe we should stop voting for dinosaurs?

Not planning to sell my house anytime soon but higher home prices would also mean higher property tax and insurance.

ROFL! Debunked by who? MTG?
Nvidia chips couldn’t be exported to China.

"debunked"=the MAGA echochamber trying to save face and unwilling to admit that the US does not have AI supremacy
but regardless, there's plenty of strong evidence that deepseek's R1 is as just as good as the top AI models in the US while only requiring a small fraction of the power. Nvidia can export/sell GPUs to China, but only the lesser models like the H20. US companies are using H100 and A100 chips. That doesn't mean China doesn't have the higher end ones, they do but in very limited numbers...nowhere close to the US. R1 is open source and very transparent, so you can actually check for yourself the power requirements.
Deepseek is the top ai right now whether you like it or not, with openai and google not too far behind. We aren’t doing ourselves any favors trying to deny this and not taking deepseek as a serious threat like they aren’t the top dogs right now. The ai race is the only thing that matters right now, in the future medical research, nuclear energy, co2 conversion(check out project moxie if you don’t know about this), even research in Yamanaka Factors will be mostly headed by ai. But that’s all after we plateau on ai research, right now it should be all hands on deck on ainot playing grabass with tariffs.
So f*cked

donnie was asked by fox news (maga news) if there was going to be a recession and he couldn't give a straight answer other than "it's difficult to say what will happen, we're bringing back wealth to america"....umm literally EVERY economic expert is claiming we're headed at a 100 MPH straight into a recession. no one but maga basement dwellers are claiming otherwise

Yeah, but nvda was trending upwards before the reporting, and deepseek was way back in jan or early feb. The reporting crushed all their projections and they're free falling.
Tesla is in free fall.
This is not a "buy low" moment for Nvidia or any other stock. This is the start for a perceived recession and a very rough couple of years for everyone. There is a ton more room to go lower and it will go lower.
