Xbox live gamer tag- Cannonball3
Anyone here tried it online for the PS3 yet? I couldn't get it to work yesterday or this morning(got it a little early), so I was wondering if it was working yet before I get off?
I didn't do a preorder or anything, anyone running into problems with stores being out of stock? Just curious.
I didn't do a preorder or anything, anyone running into problems with stores being out of stock? Just curious.
yeah I pre-ordered but i went to walmart to get some cokes and they didn't have any for the 360 but tons of them for the PS3
$14 exta bucks to get it may 1 and you call that preorder?
They didn't have the "pick-up" option available online because everyone pre-ordered them, so I had to do the next best thing. Are you kidding me man, where do you live?
Where I live, there was a lineup at 10pm near every gaming store in the city...I wasn't going to fight some 12 year old for it, I'm a busy dude so I just ordered it on-line. I actually order a lot of stuff online that doesn't exceed say 400 bucks.
It's convenient for me.
I'm probably not going to play online for like a while maybe 6 months, because apparently this game has alternative endings, which means as a character you can actually choose which deals you want to take and who you want to kill or save in the game...every decision you make will affect the story line. This game is too good to be true, you can play bowling, pool, darts...you can surf the net, watch TV...I mean the stuff are endless, it's a game for the ages.

Damn :oldlol: If its convenient for you its all good. Heck i flirted with the 12am thing but wasnt no way i was gonna be able to do it. Tired and I love GTA (played them all) but I dont think I can be one of those diehard gamers. I've got my limits and that is one. I can wait for tomorrow and hope they didnt sell out, which they didnt. They had plenty actually.

Are you serious at the alternate endings? Damn, didnt read that. Thats gonna be hot! I wonder if you can go back and kill a different person to see a new ending? U should....but i agree, i told my friends who keep texting me to get the online thing hooked up. But this is a game i wanna enjoy for self, so much to do/complete where is the time to play online? I'll make time but that online thing might not get set up until this weekend!
Hope you get it and enjoy.

Actually, Niko doesn't have to do everything that is asked of him. On several occasions as you play through his story, you'll be presented with decisions that afford you the option of doing what you think is right rather than blindly following instructions. You don't necessarily have to kill a target if he or she promises to disappear, but you have to weigh the risk of your employer finding out against the possibility that the person whose life you spare might prove useful later in the game, or even have work for you in the form of bonus missions. To say anything more specific on this subject would be to risk spoiling one of GTAIV's most interesting new features, but suffice it to say that every decision you make has consequences, and you'll likely want to play through the game at least twice to see how the alternatives unfold.

Here's the best review for this game, it's a video review from gamespot...this will definitely encourage you to buy this game. It's like Gears of War meets GTA meets The SIMS with graphics of Modern Warfare.
Hope you get it and enjoy.
Thanks man, I'm sure we'll be enjoy it immensely. I just hope the 3 rings of death don't spoil the fun for me, already had to fix it twice. :(
Almost makes me want to change my mind. I decided PS2 was gonna be the end of the gaming road for me but this sounds fricken awesome. I will wait and see.
If you don't want to spend 70 bucks on a video game, don't watch this video.
You've been warned.

Seriously, sucks for me i dont have a ps3 or 360 i wish it came on pc.
Great game. I got it yesterday. I was expecting a great game, but this was just an amazing one. I have yet to get bored, where as in the previous GTAs, I had to bassically hunt for something to do.(IE GTA 3) It's hard to beleive THIS city is supposed to be the same city as the one in GTA 3. Rock* has come a long way with this series. I almost wanted to skip school today to chill and play it. Can't wait to get back home and pick it back up. I won't be practicing ball for a couple days :oldlol:
Played this game last night at my friend's dorm for the first time. Fantastic game, I've never actualy played a GTA game since GTA II. I would be playing this game all day if I owned it, I want to get it in the summer (when I won't be in college) when I hopefully get a PS3.

Ok This game blows now, all my work into it is gone because, my brother started playing and he saved his game and it overwrote my game wtf!!!. Different profile and everything, i even chose a different slot to save it in and still overwrote this some bull$****...
Just got it now and about to pop it in...

The problem I heard about with the 360 was red-ringing. I heard almost every system has it within 2 years or so. Can that be fixed easily?
The store I preordered from didn't have it anymore when I showed up near closing time (yeah, having a job sucks ass).
So the shop lady went to the store across the street and bought me a copy.
Nice game.
Remember not to post any spoilers.
I made my first choice in the game, hopefully I made the right one.

Actually, it can be fixed rather easily: just send it in and get a new one. takes three weeks, though. and it happened to both my 360s...
I got a PS3 now. Happy.
How's the driving guys? Heard that the E-brake is pretty much useless and you have to take turns slowly.
Driving sucks, no such thing as braking. All you do is skid. You can break hard and somehow slam into someone. Go fast, slow down and try to use the break when making a turn...zilch. So trying to drive forreal is tough. Like manueving a f*cking boat.
Each car varies tho in terms of speed, handle ability.

I'm getting good. I'm really good with that little convertible. I think it's a Mercedes look a like.
This game is so addicting! So many details that just make the game complete.

:oldlol:

She's a smart one though, because if you had it now there is no way you'd be studying.
With the red ringed, yall ever heard of the towel trick? That if it gets a red ring you wrap in up in a towel, turn it on, and leave the 360 on for sure an hour and it gets real hot then let it cool this supposivly fixes it. I havent ever tried it. *knock on wood

It doesnt work, tried it 2 times, and people I know have tried it...it doesnt work.
The towel trick works but all it does is heat the solder up inside the system that it expends, thuse making it very weak. Sooo
