I lived in Southern California for around 10 years in the 90s to 2000s and car chases were always televised, was in Azusa from 2022 to 2023, they were still being televised live...unless things have drastically changed and they no longer televise a car chase, you're just flat out lying.

TMZ is a news station. They cover multiple news concurrently. The car chase happened to be ongoing at the same time as Kirk shooting.
