Re: so let me get this straight. ..
Seriously? :oldlol:
OK. The '92 squad that Made the ECF featured:
Brad Daugherty- Legit 7 footer with career averages of 19/10/4 (53% FG) AKA shits on any player on the Hawks... do they even have a player taller than 6'9? :oldlol: Peak of 22/10/4. Name one player on the Hawks right now capable of that?
Mark Price- Another player much better than any player on the Hawks. He was a player comparable to Steve Nash- could absolutely stroke from anywhere on the court (career 40% shooter from 3) and was a master playmaker. 20/9 peak.
Larry Nance- Hate to harp on this point... but another player better than anyone on the Hawks right now. 6'10, long PF with top tier athleticism. 20/9/3 peak.
Hot Rod Williams- Another 6'10" PF who put up the type of production Horford or Millsap are putting up now... in his rookie season :oldlol:
Craig Ehlo- solid wing defender and all around player who gave you a little bit of everything- 12/5/4 while shooting over 40% from 3.
Then they had one of the best 3 point shooters in NBA History in Kerr coming off the bench. Along with strong contributors like future all star Terrell Brandon (Better than any Hawks PG in his prime :lol ), John Battle, and Mike Sanders.
As a squad they were 2nd in offensive rating and averaged 28 assists per game.
How is this even a debate? Name one player on the Hawks right now who had a better peak... hell who was the caliber of player that Daugherty, Price, or Nance were.
:oldlol:
Cool. Completely overrated everyone on the team. :oldlol:
Why do I need to know what Larry Nance's peak was? I'm talking about that team.
Hot Rod as good as Millsap and Horford? Fark me... lol
Atlanta's bench shits all over the Cavs.
Horford<BD
Millsap=Nance
Carroll>Ehlo
Korver>Sanders
Teague=Price
Re: so let me get this straight. ..
Except those Cavs teams were actually competitive and fought wire to wire against all time great Bulls teams only to lose to 3 MJ series winning shots.
The Hawks just lost 2 straight home games against a Cavs team without 2 all star level players. Same Hawks that needed 6 games to beat the 38 win Nets lmao
Can we stop pretending that this is some factor that tops everything.
Did the Celtics in 08 suck and not count as an all time great team due to going to 7 against a 37 win Hawks team?
Full of agendas on here. :facepalm
Re: so let me get this straight. ..
You seriously think Teague is equal to Mark Price? :oldlol:
Price would easily be a top 5 PG in 2015.
Daughtery and Price >> Anyone on the Hawks.
Hawks don't really have anyone who can consistently create offense when they need it the most against elite teams. Teague should be that guy but he looks shook out there half the time.

Because roles change when players are in different situations, ie Chris Bosh being the same player on the Heat he was on the Raptors, just having to tailor his game to LeBron ball/being the third option.
Millsap's production/peak in every team/situation is the same as it is now. Same with Horford. They are c. 17/8 caliber players at their absolute best/peak in any situation.
Hot Rod as good as Millsap and Horford? Fark me... lol
Did he or did he not put up the same general level of production as those two are now... in his rookie season? :confusedshrug:
Atlanta's bench shits all over the Cavs.
How do you figure? :oldlol:
Horford<BD
Daugherty was on a different level than Horford. Especially offensively (and I include passing/playmaking). Not even close.
Millsap=Nance
Nance was far more athletic and better defensively and was better at creating his own shot.
Carroll>Ehlo
Debatable. Ehlo filled a lot of holes and was a much better playmaker. They are comparable in terms of defensive impact.
Korver>Sanders
Can't argue with that, Korver with his 12 PPG was an all star in this stellar era
Teague=Price
:biggums:
Now I know you're trolling. Price is in the class of a Steve Nash. Jeff Teague is a scrub and nowhere remotely the sort of passer/playmaker or shooter that Price was. Study your History. :facepalm
Seriously, Have you not seen how inept the Hawks have been this post season? Especially now. They're a team that tried to play like the Spurs only they don't have the requisite talent. They looked like a D-League team out there against the Cavs practice squad.

Someone in another thread said that Teague was the equivalent of '08 Chris Paul. These nigguhs are all on the bath salts. Only explanation I could think of. :confusedshrug:

its not like its the same team really. joe johnson and josh smith is way better than korver and millsap combined.. try again ...

Yes, Teague is as good as Mark Price.
You gonna sit here and pretend 16/7 that Teague puts up isn't as good as the 17/7 that Price is putting up? Take into account Teague is more dynamic and versatile, while also being a better defender... he probably causes more mismatches than Price does.
Top 5 PG? Fark off. This is why no one can have a decent conversation with you old school dickeads on here. :oldlol:
Curry, Paul, Westbrook, Wall, Irving, etc. He'd get smoked playing defense against any of them, and they are all better.
Hence, bolded is all wrong.

Yeah, exactly. Big names is what wins you games. That is why there was 23 wins between them. :facepalm

You've lost all credibility in this thread. Yet you keep going. Odd. :confusedshrug:
You know how I know you don't know the first thing about Mark Price and never actually saw him play? :lol
Re: so let me get this straight. ..
Apparently cats forgot about Mark Price

Dude... you said Price was in the same class as Nash. Leave before you look more of an idiot than you do in the boxing threads.
Hollywood getting to you bro. You starting to believe some of your own fairytales.
Re: so let me get this straight. ..
Dude... you said Price was in the same class as Nash.
Because he is. Price was quicker, more athletic but could stroke it just as well from any/every spot on the floor (50-40-90 club member). Plus he had a killer crossover, knew how to split and read defenses with the best of them. You comparing him to Jeff f*cking Teague, a third rate PG (on his best day) shows you don't have the slightest clue who Mark Price was.
Apparently cats forgot about Mark Price
Hence, bolded is all wrong.
Price averaged 17/7 in less than 30 MPG. That's 21/9 per 36 MPG. Then you add the fact that he's one of the greatest shooters of all time on top of that.
Wall and Irving as they are right now aren't better than Price. Price is a similar/better scorer than Irving, far better playmaker and neither are anything special defensively. Wall is a far inferior offensive player to Price as well although he's better defensively. Don't see any reason why Price wouldn't be top 5.
Daugherty would be in the conversation as the best big man today as well.
Can't believe you think Teague is equal to Price :biggums:
Next you'll probably tell me how much better Marc Gasol is than Alonzo Mourning lmao

DonDadda shutting shit down as usual. :applause:
Mark Price = Jeff Teague? :oldlol: This is insane. Mark Price is a Steve Nash type player except tougher and stronger. Let's put it this way, Steve Nash would have a tough time reproducing Mark Price's career if he played in his era with the handchecking, rule changes, and physical defense. Price vs Teague: Price is a better shooter, passer, playmaker, defense is a wash but point guard defense is overrated regardless.
Like Don said, Daughtery shits on Al Horford offensively. Defensively there could be a case for Al Horford but it would be very slim and it wont make up for the gap that Daughtery has over Al offensively.
Nance is just in a different tier of athleticism as Paul Milsap. Milsap doesn't have the length, height, and athleticism that Nance had. The only thing that Milsap could do better than Larry Nance is box people out. Doesn't matter much because with Nance's athleticism he gets to more loose balls so they end up being equal in rebounding.
I could go on but it seems like a waste of time at this point. Once again props to Dadda for laying the smack down. These cats can't handle the truth.
Re: so let me get this straight. ..
If we are going down memory lane of Cavs guards in comparison to Jeff Teague then shit, Teague isn't even Terrell Brandon for christs sake :oldlol:
