That's virtually Steve Nash minus the assists and a lower FG%.
Actually, it's more like Jason Terry or Rip Hamilton.
I think you understimate the difference between 3 assists and 11 assists...
Also, Curry isn't some scrub. He was a far superior player to Steve Nash in both HS and College.

GTFO out of here. I'm a huge UF fan. Calathes is garbage. He will be nothing but a roleplayer in the NBA.
Re: Who's got the balls to say Stephen Curry will be the best PG/SG taken in this draft
Curry would definitely be a better prospect if he was taller.
Although he shoots very well Curry's release is pretty low. So there may be a struggle to get off uncontested shots at the NBA level. Curry also is not a very strong ball handler or athlete so the lack of size will also hamper his ability to finish at the rim.
His handles are decent but some people saying no handles need to watch him more as well as people comparing him to J.J because he can create his shot somewhat. He is also great off screens and off ball. His passing is also better then most people think. If you double your assist averaged from your freshmen year and sophmore year to now in your first move to the PG position with the talent you have you have to be decent at PG.Especially with the amount of shots he takes in college he still averaged 6 assist and he won't take as many shots in the NBA so his guard ability should get better with more passing, better coaches and more talent to finish his plays.
I watched all his games that came on Sports center and the type of shots his team gets that they cant finish makes me wonder how much assist he would average on a team like NC or Uconn who have more weapons on there bench then Davidsons starting lineup.
Sorry for going off topic but i agree with everything you said but those things can be changed.

We'll see I've already bookmarked this thread. Whether I'm right or wrong I'll bump it about a year from now.

You are delusional if you think he will be ROY...
Or you haven't really watched him play or other players in this class.

It's not exactly a "strong" class. This is not my admission that I think Curry will be ROY, Blake is the clear favorite, but Curry's competition will be significantly down from recent years.

Though that is true there are several players outside of Griffen who simply make better pros.

I don't disagree, I just don't think someone is 'delusional' to think that Curry--on the right team--could be a rookie of the year candidate.

How many players get on the perfect team?
For Curry to be successful enough to win ROY he would need to play along side a player like Brandon Roy who can mask Curry's poor handling and average passing skills and lack of defense.
What are the chances that happens?

I know this. I said this on page 1. I just don't know how this is an argument for your cause. So he's done before he's even drafted to you?

Again we'll see how it goes a year from now, I've lived in the Carolinas so I've seen at least 10 games from Curry this year and about 3 or 4 last year. Its crazy to me that people are comparing him to Daniel Gibson who never proved himself to be the caliber of scorer that Curry was in college. This kid has the potential to be a truly special combo guard in this league.
Re: Who's got the balls to say Stephen Curry will be the best PG/SG taken in this draft
I'm really interested to see how Stephen Curry will turn out in the League.

Sorry but I don't see it either.
Curry non-scoring skills and limited athleticism just leave me thinking he'll fall short of being special. To me Curry's peak if literally everything goes right is Mike Bibby.
