Re: NBA Card Collector?
I used to back in the 90s. I tried to collect chris webber, penny and grant hill. That didnt age well.
None of our 90's cards did, i've got about 10 full decks and a half dozen binders of nothing but upperdeck and fleer
They oversaturated the market with so many cards in the 90's that none of them have value except the super rare rookies, but even their value continues to drop :(
Now fakes/replicas are so precise it's made card collecting worthless

They definitely aren't worthless but the value has dropped some. Still money to make if you look hard enough

Re: NBA Card Collector?
I've been collecting full time since 1986, when the hobby really took off. Card prices went to levels never before seen in the hobby a little after the pandemic started last year but prices have come back down quite a bit but still a lot higher than prior to the pandemic. Think the market is just settling into an equilibrium.
What is the best card in my collection? A 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan ROOKIE Card graded a PSA 9 MINT. At its peak, in about Feb 2021, the card was going for $75,000. Now they go for about $25,000.
