I'll give him credit for the 10 rebounds but we all know his assists don't mean shit since he doesn't make his teammates better.
17 points and only 2 FTA???? Yeah, he showed up and was very aggressive!!!!
That's my primary criticism of Lebron in the Finals, the lack of offensive aggressiveness. He went from attempting right at 19fgs and 9fts per game in the first 3 rounds to attempting only 15 fgs and 3fts per game! in the Finals. If memory serves me correctly, Lebron entered the playoffs as the all time leader in fta per game at over 10 attempts per game. Then all of a sudden jump shooting 6th men such as Jason Terry and Mario Chalmers actually attempt more free throws than he while playing significantly fewer minutes.
In all seriousness, I would love to hear someone from the Heat's lockeroom actually provide their take on why he was no longer aggressive. I've heard all of the ESPN and ISH reasons which normally is some variation of "a lack of 'menal toughness" or something like that. Again, I really would like to hear from the Heat lockeroom. I'm wondering whether there was actually a change of offensive strategy implemented by Coach Spoelstra or something.

LOL. Looks like he took his regular season stats.
I blame whole team. You can't win alone.
This LeBron blame was always over the top, If he doesn't go 25/10/8 or smt like that, he didn't showed up, that's quite silly if u ask me. Yes he was really bad in Finals for what he can, all blame is because u know what he's capable off. 18/7/7 could many players post even that ?
It remains to be seen if LeBron can perform in finals as good as in other playoff rounds or regular season. So far we can easily say that he can't, but he has plenty of years left.
Lebron has set lofty standards like 38,8,8( against Orlando in 2009) so we know what he is capable of at his best. So, if I may ask without you going off on a mad tangent, why didn't we see anything approaching that level of play in the 2011 playoffs? Why did he decide to shoot so little when it's obvious the Heat needed more scoring from him?
read the OP
it's because Wade decided to be a hero and get FMVP and hug the ball
lol @ not watching the game. That was the emptiest, least meaningful, and most misleading triple-double of all time. He did not dominate the game, not even one second.
This. You wouldn't even realized he had a triple-double when you watched the game. I honestly didn't.
Again, I'm not basing this off of stats I'm basing it on what I saw in the series.
Wade was very aggressive through out the series until 2nd Half of Game 5.

Can you blame him though when the Mavs had no answer for him.
If he was shooting 25-35% like Kobe did in the 2004 Finals then yeah, call Wade a selfish asshole but he was actually making his shots and gutting the Mavs defense every time he drove to the rim.

This is the game the Heat won.
Forget the stats, just look at the way Wade & LeBron played. 6/16 isn't great but neither was Dirk in Game 6.
Overall, Wade came to the Finals to play and compete, while LeBron only showed up in Game 1 and the first half of Game 6. Where was he from games 2 to 5?
Their body language and demeanor showed more about how they played than their actual stats.
Seriously. LOL @ anyone bringing up that triple double. I remember immediately after that game, I don't think anyone said Lebron's triple double meant anything, and I don't remember any Lebron apologist having the balls to say that was actually a good game just cause he had a triple double.
Stats in general are very overrated, specifically the smaller the sample size. This especially can go for rebounds and assists in single games when alot of times players just get them from being in the right spot or making that last pass. Its not necessarily from the result of aggressiveness where a player is actually hustling and crashing the boards consistently or putting pressure on defenses and setting up his teammates. Its why sometimes when players have some great statistical rebounding or assist game, it often goes unnoticed until you actually see the end of game statline. Thats what Lebron's triple double was. On the other hand, sometimes player don't have great statistical rebounding or assist games, but they still contributed alot of hustle and passing to the team with tips to their teammates, who then get the rebound, or making that 1st pass that actually creates the assisting play, and then someone is often surprised that there stats weren't better cause it seemed like they did so much. Its different the larger sample size, such as a season, when luck is less involved.
Because LeBron sucked in the finals and Wade just took the back seat in the playoffs because they can win with him or lebron leading the team against inferior teams.
its gotta suck that all the hard work phong is putting in on ish will be forgotten.
I wouldn't expect anything else. The recap of a choke job will always be less remembered than the choke job itself.
