Yes. He wasn't a better option than Jared Dudley.
He's not a starter on a title contender.

He'd be an ok 7th man on a contender.
There is probably some younger, better options IMO.
I'd even prefer Shannon Brown *Lakers fans shudder*
Chicago would be a nice play for him.
shocker
^I doubt Vince is that much of a bltch to jump the bandwagon with a team from a younger generation^
I saw you post this in response to someone saying he should go to the Heat.
What's the (age) difference in him going to Chicago (which alot of peeps want) than Miami?
Chicago's the younger team and seem to be favored IF they can get a SG of Vince's caliber.
Seems to me the same could be said about him going to the Bulls, too (the bandwagon reference) :confusedshrug: .
I think at this stage of his career he's better off going to which ever team gives him the best chance for a ring.
Had high hopes for him two years ago in the playoffs. Was excited to see PP head to head with VC, two of my favorite swingmen.
Instead, VC gave the choker performance of a lifetime. He's only a good shooter now, anything else you get is a bonus and you shouldn't rely on.
Is he better on the Bulls vs. Bogans who can now shoot the three and at least defend his position well?

yeah... well the bulls dont have someone as good as dudley at SG lst year. Vince wasnt as bad as when he was playing for Orlando. Not saying he was good... but..

May have been the Steve Nash effect. Nash makes everyone look better.
If you can get him on a 2 year deal (1 year guaranteed), then teams like the Bulls don't have a whole lot to lose. They're not winning without him, so they may as well take a chance and hope he's somehow the missing ingredient that gets them to the Finals.
bulls have better options. i don't even remember why this guy was starting over dudley at the start of last season. he was taking horrible shots and he plays awful, lazy defense. can you imagine him and boozer together? how about his poor clutch and general bad free throw shooting? oh and he's terrible at the pick n' roll. on good teams, VC can hurt you with his bad play. we're not talking about 08-09 VC anymore.
Vince Carter is the next MJ
In b4 Boston retirement home, but I think he could do well playing 2nd string SG to Allen. Carter can still score.
Teams really want this guy? This dude is washed and has no heart. If you can't play with Steve Nash, your done.
Surely Bulls is the best place for him?
"Boy, Vince Carter would be a great addition to the Bulls for a one year minimum contract. Get it done, Gar Forman!"
Fixed.
