Yea... like if he stayed with Cleveland he would ever win a championship with what he had to work with around him and with what he would have to work with around him his entire career while battling all these super stacked teams you see today.... He is already #11 of all time and he is not even close to the finish line, in Cleveland Lebron would had a Karl Malone career at the end of the day (whom he has surpassed already right now)...

Im sure wasting all that GOAT potential on staying home having a franchise waste such a players prime years because of the inability to abound an abundant cast and because no significant player felt/feels good toward arriving to that franchise would be worth it... im sure then being simply "loyal & loved" would be worth it...

Hating on Lebron for not continuing with Cleveland after 7 years and choosing Miami is like hating a Somalian for going somewhere he would not starv to death... yes its "not loyal" for not staying put and fighting thru life without food... but....

Is Wade even in the All-Time Top 50? Bird had McHale and Parish, both made the 1999 list of Top 50 Greatest Players of All-Time. That didn't hurt Bird, did it? Not at all.

LeBron just won a ring with both MVP & Finals MVP, first player in 9 seasons to do it. One of 5 players of the last 20 years to do it. This ring he just got is already legendary. Now, he just has to build on it.

that's silly. Those are different circumstances. MJ stayed with the sh*tty franchise of the Bulls and waited for the team to get built. Lebron quit in Cleveland and joined an already established franchise with another top 3 player in the league at the time.

The amount of arbitrary nonsense conjured up to dismiss accomplishments on this board astounds me. It's a great achievement by Lebron, and it was a great achievement by Jordan. No more, no less.....

People may not like how he got there, but he's a lock for top ten all time at this point. I personally don't care for Lebron, but then again, I HATE Jordan, and I recognize him as being an all time great.

If Jordan was faced with the kind of franchise Lebron had then he would have left. Unlike Lebron who was playing for his home state, Jordan didn't even have that allegiance.

Pretending as if other greats purposely sought after dire situations to prove themselves is stupid beyond belief.

The fact is whether waiting for something to happen organically or going to make it happen yourself..it makes no difference to them in a comparison as players. The only thing that matters in that respect is whether they had help or not - and all stars did.

The argument here that is being brought up has to do with the management of the franchises and nothing to do with the player. In the end, Lebron had to wait as long as Jordan, and had to create a situation for himself where he could win because Cleveland sure as hell wasn't doing it for him - unlike the Bulls doing it for Jordan.
