Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
Wade is only behind Lebron and Durant. Put him in any other team he would be a 25-5-5 guy.
People need to stop looking at stats in stacked teams. Players shine more when they are alone, just look at Harden. Its not like the water in Houston made him top 3 SG, its the fact that he's the #1 option. Wade would be rated the same way if he wasn't playing with the best player in the world. Put him in any other team and we would be screaming "oh my god, he's back!".
And you forgot Kobe, he's easily better than ol boy Dwade. I agree with what you're saying though. Anyone could take a hit in the stats playing alongside the best player in the league...but if anything, I think playing with LeBron is helping him to extend his career. Bron provides a lot of relief for Wade, and he still has been injury prone. Picture him as the #1 option. He'd miss chunks of seasons at a time. Sure he could average 25 5 5 for 25-30 games but he'd be out the rest of the season so whats the point? Wade is the 2nd best shooting guard in the league when healthy and a top 10 player in the league when healthy. Irrefutable. But c'mon son.
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
Without David Stern's intervention, Wade would only have 1 ring anyway and that is by being Lebron's second banana.
So yeah, not much difference between Monta and Wade.
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
I bet wade is going to put the next buck game on his calendar to try to show up Monta
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
Jennings, Ellis and Dunleavy are the REAL big 3 of the east.

He's outplayed him twice already, no need to mark anything
Wade is taking the least shots of his career since his rookie year and putting up 20ppg in the lowest minutes of his career.
Saying Wade should put up more when every year more people are brought in to the Heat who need shots is ridiculous.
Wade is still a top 5 1st option in the league.
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
Both players have relied on speed, blow by ability, and getting to the basket as their bread and butter.
Wade's bread and butter is his bball IQ, mental toughness, and great skill finishing in the paint. All of which he will have when he's 60.
He needs to work on his off-ball and back-to-the-basket game if he wants to stay a perennial all-star into his 30s. But if he becomes a better Ron Harper? That's ok.
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
If Dwade didn't have Shaq and Lebron he basically would be a Monta Ellis. Ellis has scored 25 plus points before. He could score more if he wanted to this year but is focusing more on getting the team involved.

Wade was nearly MVP 08-09 at his peak when Beasley was the second best player on the team
Wade is a proven superstar and Monta freaking Ellis has no business comparing himself; he is no superstar or winner
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
Funny. If Monta Ellis was 3/4 the player that Wade is, he'd still be a Golden State Warrior.
/thread.

No. Warriors needed size. Monta didn't have defense, we needed defense and also he was making Lee and Curry worse.

Um..point exactly :oldlol:
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
We gonna ignore Wade is 100x the defender Monta is and a much more efficient scorer?
This. Wade is still a great player.

Dude you're being generous. There are a shit load of players better than Dwyane Wade right now. His season has been kind of underwhelming.
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
Monte had an excellent season. Carlisle has done wonders for his career. :applause:
Re: Monta Ellis thinks he's as good as Wade
"Monta have it all."
Alpha talk.
Is it heart or a fart?
Dude had a good season.
