Re: Here's Why The Right Comes After AOC So Hard.......
Case by case. A great many people pay no income tax and most of what they contribute tax wise is in the form of sales and property taxes.
Say a millionaire pays the property taxes on his house and expensive car....plus say....200K in state taxes....forget federal for now. just state.
You also have a barber from a few miles away who pays no taxes because he operates in cash and doesnt do returns(I have barbers in the family).
When that barbers kid goes to local public schools who provided more of the funding for it to run? Him...or the millionaire? Who puts money towards fixing roads?
How would you word it when 1 percent of a state pays almost half of all taxes which Cuomo says happens in NY? Speaking of which he claims a number of them moved business to other states because of the tax laws and it cost them over 2 billion dollars the first year.
These people provide an irreplaceable portion of the budget.
All of this verbosity and you people still ignore the bottom line. That is, once the pendulum swings too far the other way, and you have 60% of the population that can't afford a $1000 emergency, the fact that CEOS make so much more than the worker compared to the 70s, and I could go on down the list of things that plague America financially for literally another few paragraphs IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE RICH GETTING TAXED. It will happen. Period. It's reach a tipping point when Fox News shows 54% of its viewers supporting taxing the rich more. You can poo poo it away, you can say that there are other factors in the poll, whatever makes you feel better but in doing so you're showing a lack of ability to discern social trends. Again, I work in finance - I deal with the senior execs of private equity firms, CEOs, etc. THEY KNOW the jig is up. Propaganda absorbing Fox News voters know the jig is up. That's why Trump went all out on this tax cut that didn't help his own constituents and now they're b!tching. That's why he's trying to compare progressive economic ideas with f** Venezuela instead of the nordic countries. Your problem is that your so caught up on what you "feel" is right, that you're ignoring all the social clues. lol at "it's the principle of it". Warren Buffet has told you fools that the rich rig the system in their favor. Yet no outrage at that. But when the people want to get back some of that dough, it's outrage by people that will never even sniff a million, much less 10. Boy they've done a good job in f*** a lot of people's heads up. I'll give em that.
Also, Chewing is very stupid. I don't know if I mentioned this before.

You act like it isnt happening now. Where do you think most of the money comes from if not the rich being taxed already?
Taxes will go up...and down..and up. That isnt really breaking news is it?
There are power shifts that allow changes. Of course when demographics shift enough and democrats get into power enough to not worry about backlash in the short term it will happen. And eventually...it goes the other way.
Its been 70% in my lifetime. You arent talking about something from the olden days just the changes that come with time. A lot about today wont be the same in 20 years.

76% or something like that supported the presidents SOTU address. 59% viewed it as positive on a CNN poll.
What do we make of that?
Re: Here's Why The Right Comes After AOC So Hard.......
I don't feel that the rich should have their money 'taken' away per se. But should they pay more in taxes? Im down for that.
Some of these rich people could be taxed 50% and they'd still have enough money to last them generations. Some of them hoard it for generations and generations to come.
Is it fair that they give more?
Some will argue that they benefit the most from our services, they also have manipulated tax rules in their favor.
There should be different tiers of course, not just one broad tax bracket.
It's not so much about taking away as it's about 'sharing'. I've always been thought that it's noble to share when you can.
There is zero moral high ground associated with taking money away from people who earned it.

I was wrong, 70% on the FOX NEWS POLL said they supported raising taxes on the rich. I would assume Fox News watchers aren't particularly known for being socialists.
The writing is on the wall. What do YOU make of all these TRUMP VOTERS who are starting to wake up from the bullshit? THAT'S why they attack AOC so much. Trump is a con-artist. His tax plan was a give away to the rich EVEN THOUGH HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO RAISE TAXES ON THE RICH.

The @GOP tax bill cost my family THOUSANDS of dollars this year on our return due to changes, thereby hitting us with the LARGEST tax increase of our lives.
We are middle-class homeowners, and you raised our taxes.

Look blaze, you have no solutions to the points I made (and again, I could go on for much longer about the US' current financial ills). All you offer up is " it's wrong to tax the rich". That's it. No solutions, no response to the fact that Warren Buffet said that the rich rig the system and that yes it's class warfare and the rich won. Etc. All you have is "don't tax the rich it isn't fair!!!"

This is the kind of idiocy I'm talking about. They wouldn't be where they are WITHOUT WORKERS TO TOIL AWAY FOR THEM. If you think that it's right that the average CEO made 40x the worker in the 70s and HUNDREDS OF TIMES MORE now then I don't know what to tell you.
According to Warren Buffet, the rich are taking money away from the workers who "earned it". Why don't you mind that? You don't because you've been brainwashed all these years to worship the rich and think that just the fact that they're rich makes them above you, and everyone else and any attempt to question what they make vs the average person is somehow "taking" from them. Yet you don't apply that same philosophy to labor.

Hey those CEOs worked really hard to climb from where they were in the 70s to where they are today... its not like buying politicians and paying lobbyists is an easy job

I bet the majority of these people live in high tax blue states and Trump got rid of or lowered SALT deductions. Their blame should be at the feet of the state they live in.
FYI...the democratic socialist countries you worship? They tax the shit out of the middle class. Norway eliminated the estate tax in 2014 and have a corporate tax rate of 24%. Want ya to be like those countries? Well I guess you’ll have to keep the corporate tax rate where it is and eliminate the estate tax.

Like you have any solutions? All people like you do is just keep saying over and over again "don't tax the rich". When I point out to you that:
60% of Americans can't afford a $1000 emergency
Most don't even have $1000 in savings
Most live paycheck to paycheck
infrastructure is crumbling and a joke compared to the rest of the world
Young people saddled with debt from student loans
US suicide rate has increased 30% in 17 years
relationship issues and financial troubles tend to be top factors contributing to suicide across the country
For US workers, wages have barely budged in DECADES while the wealthy's networths have skyrocketed
http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/08/07/for-most-us-workers-real-wages-have-barely-budged-for-decades/
And again, I could go on and on and on. Someone like yourself looks at it like I don't CARE about any of that shit. Those people DESERVE it for not being rich. You don't have solutions and don't CARE to have any to the above. That's a national crisis regardless of what the employment and stock market numbers tell you. So why should we the people care about rich people's money if no one cares about the people?
Taxing the rich may not be the end all/be all and solve all of American's woes, but it's a start that's for sure. And again, you're so stuck on what you think is "fair" that you're ignoring that once things get to a certain point, no one cares what you think is "fair". When even Fox News watchers are getting it, people are coming for that money.
And that's why the right comes after AOC so hard.
Re: Here's Why The Right Comes After AOC So Hard.......

Who cares? When 70% of Fox News voters are saying they agree with her plans to tax the rich that's the wave of the future. Not corporate Dems. F*ck them too.
