Drexler has higher scoring, rebound, and assist averages, and better athlete
it's not close.. Drexler was on the Barkley/Malone/Ewing level, aka 1st option Finals guys.. only the best were 1st option Finals guys in the 90's - butler isn't on this level (wouldn't be a top player in the 90's, aka < Ewing, Malone, etc... whereas Drexler was on their level
Dumb
Name me a bigger upset. The team better have at least two starters and 40PPG missing.
butler averaged 22 against Kawhi
Clyde averaged 26 against mj and rodman (90' and 92' Finals), so he would get more against Kawhi with today's higher pace and drtg..
so the stats prove you wrong
Yeah but Clyde only had a 51% TS during his first finals run. The pistons series his team got his ass kicked in 5 games, so he was just padding stats like 2017/18 LeBron pretty much.

butler would get swept by mj, whereas Drexler gave him a tough series
Drexler is 20/6/6 for his career, while butler is 17/5/3
Kawhi also squats 400 pounds and leg presses about 600 pounds
Go to a gym and put 400-500 pounds on the leg press and try it. You might be surprised what normal people can leg press as a beginner.
1. Kawhi
2. Shaq
3. Jordan
Kawhi #1 of ALL-TIME? lol

I'm convinced that poster is a mod. I've seen people get banned here for posting less offensive troll drivel.
Watching Butler's game 3 and it was so clear that it has NEVER been this easy to score. With the numbers he put up, you'd think he had one of the 5-10 best Finals games ever. But when you watch it, you're like...that's it? Literally nothing he did was super impressive by all time standards, or by superstar standards. Sorry. This is the truth.

Especially if you're athletic and have played ball or other sports your whole life. I never went to the gym in my life, but played basketball obsessively through my mid-20's and then 1-2 times per week until my early 30's until I hurt my back. When I started to work out at the gym several years later, I was immediately able to do 3 x 12 reps of 860 pounds on the incline leg press machine. I used to be able to rep out like 25-30 reps of 420 pounds on the horizontal leg press machine.
Offenses are way better these days because talent pool, floor spacing, more picks and rolls, better shooters, no big man clogging lanes
AKA 10x harder offenses to defend. Lakers still remained an elite defense all year.
Kawhi also squats 400 pounds and leg presses about 600 pounds, his physical strength destroys Clyde and that's what makes him a better athlete. But Clyde isn't on Kawhi's level, Clyde would get embarrassed by Kawhi like Butler did in 2019 playoffs. Clydes not even better then Butler, he never eliminated an MVP or had a finals performance like this.
Offenses definitely aren't better. Just looks that way because of the rules. Allow guys to handcheck, body, fight through screens and contest shots and these Offenses woukd all of a sudden look much worse.
And im not sure where you got the info that kawhi squats 400 pounds but i dought thats true if he's only leg pressing 600. If you can squat 400 you should be able to leg press more than double that.

Yea even in high school guys were doing 1000. Unless you’re on one of those rare weird machines that tries to kill you with the angle 600 pounds is light work even for lanky guys. Maybe not 6’8” lanky but still it isn’t enough to be bragging.
One of the few quality posts OP has made on this forum, but even a broken clock is right twice per day.
Anyway, the remarkable thing is that even though Butler is better than Drexler (by far the best player Jordan ever had to face on his position), Butler is at best the 4th, and possibly as low as 6th best SF LeBron had to go through in his career, after:
Durant
Kawhi
Pierce
Butler/George/Carmelo - not sure how to rank these
What a testament to LeBron's greatness!
Drexler peaked higher and had a better prime. Butler was never a top 5 player like Drexler was. Butler was underappreciated until recent weeks, though.
Not true. Drexler was more of a complete player Butler was. He was a better scorer, rebounder, passer and about even defensively. He also would have looked bulkier if he did the weight lifting programs they have today.
Drexler' Less athletic? Thatīs crazy Drexler was one of the most athletic 6'7 ft guards ever! He was called "The Glide" for a reason
