Re: Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman hint that LeBron's on PED's/Steroids
OP's obsession with Lebron is approaching 3ball level. How many times has me made the exact same topic or bumped this topic? Disturbing.
Lebron has missed almost half the season, something that never happened when he was younger. I wouldn't call that evidence of steroids.
A 37 year old with 19 years in the league averaging 30/10/10 in his last 7 games doing chase down blocks looking more jacked than anyone in the league is slightly suspicious.
Re: Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman hint that LeBron's on PED's/Steroids
When Rashard Lewis and Hidayet Turkoglu get busted for PEDs who were both skinny af and then you have guys that look like LeBron, yes, it is that widespread. I just don't think you want to admit it or can't see it for whatever reason.
Pretty sure Jameer Nelson was getting his juice the same place that LeBron was getting his in Miami. I remember that being a thing with someone releasing some circumstantial/somewhat speculative evidence. Then remember that year in his second Cleveland stint where he came back from the offseason skinny af? Remember how his numbers were pedestrian for his standards and then he took a week long vacation mid season and came back looking better, jumping out of the gym again and numbers started skyrocketing? lol.
Anyone honestly think Dwight wasn't on something in his Orlando days? What happened to all that muscle around his shoulders?
**** outta here.
I would assume that at this point most of the league is juicing and they have been for a very long time.
And that's not to say that LeBron completely natural isn't one of the most athletic freaks in NBA history because I think he still clearly is but I don't think he's doing what he's doing now at this age without assistance.
But I don't want to get sidetracked here... just because we have posters that are obsessed with slurping LeBron on an irrational level does not mean that obsessing via SPECULATION over LeBron doing steroids is acceptable behavior. Two wrongs don't make a right and it doesn't make OP's behavior ok despite the fact that he clearly thinks it does, lol. At least they talk about OTHER things. OP ONLY talks about LeBron and roids now.
Oh don’t worry, it’s pretty clear guys like Dwight wade ben Wallace and probably Zion were/are also on stuff.

He has only played 16 games this season and only played half a season last year. That didn't happen when Lebron was younger.
Guys in their late 30 are fine playing half a season. It is playing the entire season plus playoffs that is the problem.

This season his longest streak of games played without missing any is 5. His last two were against those defensive powerhouses OKC and Orlando.
Your obsession with him is really bizarre. How much time do you spend on youtube searching for vids about Lebron?
:facepalm
Re: Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman hint that LeBron's on PED's/Steroids
yes, it is that widespread. I just don't think you want to admit it or can't see it for whatever reason.
Nah. What we have here is the early stages of something we do often. Someone makes a massive exaggeration. I explain why it’s not actually that bad. After 6 rounds we get to “Well no not LITERALLY” when you could have just agreed it was an exaggeration to begin with. There’s no way there are less than 5 clean nba players. The number might seem like a lot of the general public found out all of them at once….but we wouldn’t have 4 holy men left out getting all the media requests because they stayed clean. I’ve personally known nba players as have many of us. It doesn’t take steroids to be that good at basketball.
Some are there for sheer size, some shoot 30 million jumpers as a teen, and some are just natural athletic freaks who can’t really play. Some are just normal players. Random projects and coaches kids. The choir boys who are actually serious about it like Shawn Bradley.
Whatever the number of dirty players is it isn’t all but 2-3. I’d bet my life on and sleep well. So why can’t we just skip to the “Well yea but I meant more the spirit than the words you responded to” part?
That said I must admit to a general feeling that a lot of this board are just neck bearded lames who never actually worked out or spent time around good natural athletes when I see pictures used as evidence. Ever since I posted that pic of me at like 15 and had a couple people taking about how big I was. It feels like people here get in awe of anyone with any muscle as if it’s all freakish. A lot of nfl players are the king of big where it’s like “Jesus…”. Even muscular nba players look like dudes I’ve been around day to day. Always some action shot of someone flexing or something then you see them at rest and it’s just an in shape lanky dude. ISH acting like it’s Mr.Olympia.
Always been funny to me.
Re: Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman hint that LeBron's on PED's/Steroids
When you said “that widespread” I had apparently glanced over the “less than 5 clean guys” from the other poster because no I don’t think it’s only 5 clean players extreme but I do think it’s way more prevalent than most of us would like to believe.
For instance, I would be SHOCKED if even half of the league was clean.
I took your “that” as a stand-alone statement and not a direct response to someone’s number.
Re: Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman hint that LeBron's on PED's/Steroids
Him saying you can count the guys on one hand was obviously hyperbole. It’s not that much but it’s a shitload. Any number hovering around 50% wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest.
Re: Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman hint that LeBron's on PED's/Steroids
I also don't think most NBA players are taking steroids to put on muscle, either.
I think most of them are doing it for recovery and endurance.
And before we start talking about players of yesteryear playing more minutes, remember, it's easier to play that many minutes with less muscle on your frame, comparatively speaking.
Re: Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman hint that LeBron's on PED's/Steroids
Well with the issue of “that widespread” being settled I’ll move on.
And you’re right I’m sure most athletes don’t cheat for muscle. It’s for recovery and stamina. Which is why it’s so odd the people talked about are the ones with muscle(by the low standards of lanky basketball players). Something like 19 of the top 20 people in the Tour de France were caught doping at one point and there isn’t a bicep among them.
But every time some big grabs a rebound and an action shot shows his shoulders there’s some dude looking like the comic book guy talking about hgh as if he ever put himself through the workouts they do to see what he’d look like even clean.
Simmons: Naive To Think NBA Has No Players On PEDs
During a podcast on Monday, ESPN NBA analyst Bill Simmons suggested that the lessons from baseball's performance enhancing drug problems of the past two decades need to be studied by those involved in basketball.
"The retroactive thing is really funny to me," said Simmons. "It does seem like there is this weird residual guilt, especially with the writers: 'We didn't know. I should have known. How did we not know?'
"Why aren't we asking that now with the other sports? What about basketball? Go on YouTube and watch a basketball game from 1977 and see what the guys look like. You really think there are no PED guys in the NBA right now? You've got to be kidding me.
"It's just funny to me. If we end up repeating this whole cycle with the NBA. Everybody is going to be like, 'How did we not know?' It's the same thing we were going through with baseball in the late nineties."
Re: Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman hint that LeBron's on PED's/Steroids
^This dude is basically making a point against his own agenda that LeBron is taking steroids by posting pics of Dwight Howard's bulk, and implying that he is taking steroids. Dwight is still in the league and playing. How are his numbers compared to 2008-2012 Dwight?
How was Ben Wallace playing at LeBron's age?
