Re: Build a championship-caliber team without All-Stars
I myself would probably go:
PG: Mike Bibby
SG: Drazen Petrovic
SF: Tayshaun Prince
PF: Lamar Odom
C: Arvydas Sabonis
Bench:
Lou Williams
Desmond Bane
Michael Cooper
Toni Kukoc
Andrew Bogut
That is an interesting team.
I sure make you Bronie fluffers mad.
You should have let your boy Dudley know that Sabonis made the all star team this year.

Re: Build a championship-caliber team without All-Stars
JOHN COLLINS
TOBIAS HARRIS
CLINT CAPELA
MCcOLLUM
MAXEY
BOGDANOVIC
JAMAL MURREY
JAE CROWDAER
AVERY BRADLEY JR
PJ TUCKER
**All current players
Next list will be retired players
Re: Build a championship-caliber team without All-Stars
pg Drazen Petrovic
sg Desmond Bane
sf Ron Harper
pf Lamar Odom
c Sabonis
Reserves: CJ McCollum, Marcus Smart, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Richard Jefferson, Serge Ibaka, Cedric Maxwell
And no, I don't think Ron Harper is better than Richard Jefferson or Maxwell, but he's a better fit playing point forward alongside my guards.

Abdur-Rahim was an all-star...
Cedric Maxwell is a great pick though. Didn't think of him.

Terrible
Side note: I always thought Byron Scott was a little overrated. He constantly shit the bed in the Finals vs Boston, was kinda one dimensional as well. Ainge was a more well rounded player, probably would have seen some people list Ainge in this thread, but he actually made an All-Star team once.
Norm Nixon to me was clearly better than Scott, but Scott gets brought up more when discussing those 80's Lakers for some reason.

Wouldn't work in today's NBA lol

Scott was a better fit with Magic than Nixon was. Nixon was a pg. I always saw Scott not that far behind the highly overrated Worthy myself. No he was no Ainge but another pretty good role player on a loaded team

Sampson was all star starter. Peja had to have made a few too, Porter certainly should have if he didn't somehow
