Re: Wemby is averaging 24.0/10.6/3.9 on 60.5 TS% while being the best defender in the
His offense isn't shit. He's very easy to guard.
You would rather have a guy who does way less as far as usage offensively but does it better like Jimmy Butler. Scratch even that, Anthony Davis is a much better offensive player right now.
This isn't 2017 either. .605 TS% is just decent. Not elite.
He reminds me of Giannis pre-2019. Box score stuffing athletic mope offensively. No real impact on how teams defend.
24/10/3 with more turnovers than assists.
I can see why OP, after posting at midnight and 3:30 am, and other times in between with his 'post' alt, rushed to make this thread at 9 am the moment he woke up from his daily three hour nap when he takes his only break from ISH, including holidays and weekends.
With numbers like that, who could argue against V Dub being ready to be proclaimed the future GOAT.
That's not really a slight though. AD averaging 29/63% TS is better than most offensively asides from a handful.

Anthony Davis is averaging prime peak KAJ numbers right now... so not really a slight. Don't see the Giannis comparison, Dubya can shoot like 100x better albeit he'll never be as strong as Giannis because of the lanky-ness. Nevertheless he's obviously going to be a big time HOF player either way. But he has more basketball skills than giannis.

I think the question we have to all ask ourselves though is will Wemby ever make it to peak Siakam level?

And he did that on DPOY Draymond Green.
I guess we will just have to wait and see.

tell me the nba is rigged without telling me its rigged.
teams will tank for 5 years straight and not sniff a 1st pick, but the spurs tank hardcore for one season and get him. got duncan as well. ok suuuuuureeeeee

The Duncan Spurs were absolute ratings killers, I seriously doubt the NBA would rig the draft for their next GOAT talent to go back there :lol

Why would the league have any vested interest in promoting the Spurs over other smaller market teams?

idk, but you don't find it odd that when the spurs decide to tank for one year, they, against all odds, land a generational talent not once, but twice? ok.
like i said before, other teams will tank for years and not be so luck as to even get a #1 pick but the spurs...
yeah, no such thing as coincidences.

I suppose you could say lightning rarely strikes twice but again, that doesn't answer why the league would propel the Spurs in particular.

and i said i do not know. we are not privy to the behind the scenes action. for all we know, the spurs owner could be tied in some way to nba higher ups. in this country, it's always a case of who you know that determines what doors will open for you. it's like that accross the board for every industry and line of work. it's why i laugh when people criticize DEI hires,,,as if generations of our important government positions haven't been handed out of pure favoritism or nepotism.

and fyi, it was no secrete david stern HATED the suns owner back in the Nash era...which made the whole robert horry incident look very funny bc it cost the Suns a championship...
