Why do you care so much?
Why do you care so much?
because he doesnt want a muslum on the jazz
How is he a practicing Muslim? He drinks, he doesn't fast, his wife doesn't wear a hijjab, his daughter has an English name....what exactly does he practice?
Like I said, can someone explain to me how he's any more of a Muslim than Dirk Nowitzki is a Christian?
People just claim whatever they want these days.
I have a friend who supposedly coverted to Muslim. The guy is a fukcin joke, because he doesn't follow 90% of their rules and guidelines.
STFU.
And who are you to accuse him of not fasting ?
Do you want footage of Jazz games during Ramadan where he drinks water?
Either way, I seem to have hit a sore spot with the resident hypocrites.
There is no such thing as sinners...only hypocrites.

lol
rarely do muslum athletes actually fast in ramadan
athlete or not i dont very many that ive met fasted, doesnt mean there not muslum. I play college soccer we have a couple muslums on the team, they drink alcohol, and they dont fast, pray, or read koran, but they believe in god as allah which makes them muslum.
and again, hijab is not a requirement, i know a bunch of muslum hoes in college, banging more than 1 guy at once yet go to mosque on fridays

you call them hypocrites, everyone else calls them a person who sins. or a sinner. 99% of us think that, and yet you stand alone... whatever, its your opinion

Well there are stories online about seeing Okur at different Mosques and I assume if he goes to church he believes in the Quran.
Also his daughters name while not "Muslim" is a very popular name for some Islamic cultures.

another point here, you're right statman...
also nowadays a lot of muslum families don't give there kids "weird" names. lots are named generic american names to fit in
maybe due to 9/11
lol
but they believe in god as allah which makes them muslum.

Believing in God doesn't make you a Muslim, regardless of what name you apply.
Being a Muslim means living your life as the religion dictates. I understand that most religious people don't go strictly by the book because it's very difficult.
However, you can't just disregard all their rules and guidelines, then claim you believe in Allah and are a Muslim....
actually you can, but it just makes you look like a fool.
Like I said earlier in the thread, I have a friend who converted to Muslim. Guy walks around spouting off Muslim historical facts and beliefs, but doesn't follow 90% of their traditions. :confusedshrug:

It's a persons choice to do that. He could also use the excuse that it is harmful for him not to drink water. Hell Mormons are suppose to fast for 24 hours on the 1st Sunday of every month but I dont know one Mormon family that does that. They will fast for a meal or two and whats most important is that they know they did it for a reason.

This thread
thats really pretty irrelevant, the point he's making which i think we can all agree on, is that muslims are all terrorists, amIrite?
Another thread form yesterday
i think what we can all agree on is that ALL people from the middle east are terrorists

I think someone here is very sad that in November he wont be able to elect GWB again.
