it would be a damn shame to see Dirk hurt those Lakers...
First of all, I dont see Dirk getting dirty enough to bang with Kmart, Birdman, and others like that during a series. Luckily, Dallas has more than one weapon, but SO DOES DENVER.
I also do not see Melo being checked by anyone consistantly on Dallas, I just think Denver is a bit too much for Dallas.
Agree 100%. Nuggets in 5, 6 max. With the exception of Game 3(and even then they could have won), the Nuggets completely destroyed New Orleans. They have clearly turned it up a notch in the playoffs. Chauncey Billups will run right through Jason Kidd like he isn't even there. Nobody on Dallas has a prayer at containing Melo. Dahntay Jones will shut down Josh Howard rather easy seeing as how he locked down Chris Paul. K-Mart is exactly the kind of defender Dirk struggles against. Not saying he will shut him down, but nothing will come easy. JR Smith>>>>Jason Terry. Denver is just too deep and talented for Dallas to handle.
I think JR Smith, and Jason Terry are definately x-factors for their teams. They BOTH will need to show up for their teams if they want to win it.
Who else are x-factors in this series?

The biggest match-ups will be Melo vs Howard and Dirk vs Kenyon. How Nene plays will also be big. He has struggled as of late but I still think he can wreck Erica.
I see Denver winning in 6 games...Dallas will struggle with the Nuggets' guardplay. It will be interesting to see who wins the Billups/Kidd matchip.
i see mavs sweeping denver in a destructive passion
dirk will be a stormkiller
martin cant handle duncan
dirk can destroy duncan and it was proven
spurs is a tough team , and they were just owned by a 5'10 super midget with a dwarfism disease guard
parker owned billups in 2005 finals
barrea owned parker
the logic is
barea>parker>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>billups
face the truth dumb nuggets fans
I so dumbz kant speel gud I tink Noguts swep merviks. :hammerhead:
Really? I see a bunch of Nuggets fans anally penetrating one another. I guess they're just digging for gold?
you're kidding if you dont see a difference in the behavior and posts of mav fans vs nugget fans here.
There is a difference between Peja's defense and Josh Howard's.
Kidd can guard Billups decently
Terry > JR Smith
Howard can contain Melo
Dirk [kill] Martin
Damp played Duncan well, he can handle Nene.
Dallas bench is as good as the Denver bench.
so kidd and howard can contain billups and melo but dirk will kill martin?
biased?
Dallas fans who think they are going to "own the nuggets" are in for a rude awakening in a few days....

wake up now ! jeeesh
mavs will win the series because of their advantages in size matchups ,fire power and experience
support DEN:oldlol:
Primetime is making my slight tolerance of the mavs turn back into boiling hatred. GO NUGGETS!
Some of these Mavericks fans are a little much, no?
That's what I was thinking..
2nd round!!:pimp:
so kidd and howard can contain billups and melo but dirk will kill martin?

Can we pull up some numbers of Dirk against the Nuggets? I know he's had some big scoring games but almost 99% sure that it was on bad %'s.
didn't we sweep Dallas this year in our head to head matchups?

On a more serious note, I can't wait until Sunday.
I wouldn't go as far as saying we own the nuggets but I'm hoping that we indeed own them. I'm nervous about the season sweep though. But I'm believing in the Mavs!

Yeah I don't know how some could think the Mavericks "own" the Nuggets. But I think it's going to be a solid series and at the point could go either way.
I'm just happy about the 2nd round at this point.
lmao @ Mavs Franchise.
seriously - why are all the mav fans trolling so much all of a sudden?
seriously - why are all the mav fans trolling so much all of a sudden?
Really annoying, but I guess that will make the victories sweeter. At least the NOH fans aren't complete jackasses....
nuggets in 5, possibly six.
Kmart on dirk, jones on terry, billups on kidd. I think Melo is good enough defensively to keep howard in check. Defensively the nuggets can slow down all of the mavericks major offensive players.
I don't see how the Mavericks pull this one out...although they were immpressive against a hurt spurs team.
:oldlol: Nuggets in 6.
LOL. The trash talking has already begun before the game even started. :oldlol:
That's what I was thinking..
2nd round!!:pimp:
A place Denver hasn't been in what 15 years? I really enjoyed watching the Denver crowd celebrating like they won the championship. Mavs are a veteran team, Nuggets are going to party hard and get beat at home first game. Look at the type of people on that team. We got Anthony (DUI, mr. sucker punch then run for it, stop snitching!), we have Birdman who was kicked out of the association for drug abuse, we have Martin who is just a thug, and we have a lazy turd in Nene and a poor basketball IQ player in JR Smith.
Dallas has professionals. Our only blemish is really Josh Howard. You look at Dallas and you see SMART players. Dirk, Terry, Kidd... These are high IQ basketball players who are professionals. Dallas is going to steamroll these guys so hard.
Can't wait for Sunday, the Nuggets are going to be so hung over. Dallas will win game 1 at Denver, mark it down and I will take an avy bet on this with any Nuggets fan :)
As a neutral fan, I have to say that I have been impressed by both the Nuggets and the Mavericks in the first round. My bet for the second round is Nuggets in six.
this should be a good hard fought series that can go either way.
The Nugs may be up 4-0 in the regular season but that was then. THe regular season means jack right now.
Both teams are going in playing incredibly well. I haven't seen the Mavs playing with this much confidence in a while.
The Nuggets have been firing on all cylinders as well and Melo seems to finally have the playoff bug off his back.
Neither team has played eachother at full strength this year so we really have no idea how they will truely match up.
Also, I do not see how any Nuggets fan (or anyone really) can rip the Mavs series win vs the Spurs while ignoring the Hornets were pretty banged up too.
The Mavs didn't 'own' the Nuggets, but I see (and I hope for) a competitive series.
I honestly don't believe the Mavs will lose any game at home, so Denver has to win all home games too to win this series.
As a Mavs homer I see them stealing Game 1 or Game 2, and I hope they can close out the series in Game 6.
For your information: Dirk shot almost 50 percent in the first round, despite being swarmed all over the floor. He didn't force it and let his teammates kill the Spurs. But whenever the Mavs needed a bucket, Dirk was there.
As Popovich stated:
If we played a little differently against Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry, things could get even worse.
Here's the schedule for the series:
Game 1 - Sun May 3 Dallas at Denver 2:30PM ABC
Game 2 - Tue May 5 Dallas at Denver 9:30PM TNT
Game 3 - Sat May 9 Denver at Dallas 4:00PM ESPN
Game 4 - Mon May 11 Denver at Dallas 8:30PM TNT
Game 5 - Wed May 13 Dallas at Denver TBD TNT *
Game 6 - Fri May 15 Denver at Dallas TBD ESPN *
Game 7 - Sun May 17 Dallas at Denver TBD TBD *

I see you haven't watched a Nuggets game in quite a few years. Might want to get up to date on that.
And why are Dallas fans here so eager to talk ****? I've seen nothing but acceptable, respectable posts from every other team fan on here, yet these Dallas folks think beating a hobbled Spurs team is going to go exactly the same when playing Denver. I don't know, must be the water or something down there. :confusedshrug:
I'll accept your delusional behavior for now, but when your team is down 2-0, this better stop.

If the Mavs split the first to games, you will admit this is a competitive series?
lots of trash talking considering neither team has accomplished anything so far.
My personal opinion is that Denver takes the series in 7
If the Mavs split the first to games, you will admit this is a competitive series?
I think it will be competitive regardless, it's just stupid that Mavs fans are thinking sweep.

Your funny!
Wasn't Kidd a wife beater??? And isn't Cuban being investigated for inside trading?
ahahaa..
Stop crapping on image and talk about basketball
This series is going to be a war, I'm expecting a classic.

multiple charges of domestic abuse (including striking his wife in the face), my personal "favorite" was when he threw a plate of hot fries in her face in public. Yes, Jason Kidd is a f*cking piece of sh*t.
He also made the ill-advised life move of procreating and making this ugly little alien (who apparently had a sick crossover at like 4 years old)

but, go Mavs.
I want to know more about this kid. lol
