Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
LeBron's post game fundamentals aren't terrible. His awareness goes from a 9 or 10 to a 2 or 3, though. He just doesn't look comfortable operating on the block.
Yeah the few times I've seen him go into the post he just looks really uncomfortable and awkward like he's forcing it. He will have to develop one sooner or later though if he wants to remain an elite scorer because that freakish athleticism won't always be there. MJ had to do it. Kobe had to do it. You don't stay young forever.

Jordan had the post skills far before he lost athleticism. It's just a different era where players back then were more fundamentally sound and you can tell the guys today have relied upon their athleticism to get by. Guys coming out from one year in college have a lot of talent, but an underdeveloped game.

Right MJ could go into the post earlier in his career but he had to rely on it more in his later career after he lost some athleticism. Added to the fact that he played under a structured offense with Phil. He didn't completely become a shell of his former self as he got older as far as his athleticism, but it definitely helped with his longevity as far as being the dominant scorer he was. I totally agree with the rest of your post though

for every 1 of those bad plays in the post that you guys saved as a gif ....theres at least 5 times he draws a double and gets a wide open shot for a teammate.
Lebron looked great in the post today:applause:

Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
I have to say Lebron pretty much shut anybody up who said he had no or extremly sucky post game (Phong) with his post game today, his face-up & back to the back basket was very efficient down there, he got alot of assists from the post aswell, great work, he still needs to tune it up somewhat though, i just wish he would go down there more often.

The 4th worst team in the NBA right behind cleveland.
Is that proof that he actually has a post game? One game VS one of the worst team in the NBA? :applause:

Lebron is actually doing OK in the post... can pass out of it and can shoot the J or just forcing it through. He looks uncomfortable down the block though... should be better if he does it like in the Raptors game.

Excuses, he posted anybody up from a 6 footer (Calderon) to a 7 footer (Bargnani). Come on now, Lebron has an ok post game, its not bad, he just needs to use it more and finetune it more. One game? Maybe for you... :) Ive seen Lebron dominate in the post even better, especially last season.

Did LeBron "dust off" his game or he played without posting-up ?
Nah. coin24 is absolutely right. A skilled post player should kill with the kind of space Lebron is given. I don't care how many Celtic players are "looking" at him. Lebron still has space to operate against Pierce and fails miserably. On his first pivot he could have easily thrown a little jumphook over Pierce but for some reason he paused (Davis wasn't even close to him) and didn't really know what to do next.
another idiot who has the reading comprehension of, oh idk, an idiot. if you cared to read, i'm not arguing that Lebron did good in that gif post up play. what im arguin about is the fact that you morons are convinced he is guarded one on one. i just called you out on that. i think, if we cared to argue about basketball, at least get the facts straight you know? the video is right there, the obvious staring you in the face! why you gotta fkn claim something which is totally not true?

Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
He did have some pretty nice post moves, I was surprised, I've really never seen those moves from him before, I'd say he posted up on 75% of his shots, and most were very efficient. That sky hook shot btw was clean as ****, I kept thinking he was going to try it again but he never did

Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/miamiheat/post/_/id/3950/lebron-james-mans-his-post
This season, James has scored points on exactly 50 percent of his 56 post-up plays that resulted in a shot attempt or foul, according to Synergy Sports. Last season, that number was 58 percent. In fact, no player in the league with a minimum of 100 shot attempts in the post generated a higher point of possession on post plays than James did in 2009-10. Bosh ranked second, with Dirk Nowitzki, Zach Randolph and Tim Duncan rounding out the Top 5.

How about that post game last night LBJ? I saw several post moves where the shot hit all backboard and no rim.
Anybody got vids on it?

he did look horrible last night with his post, but he's workign at it and not shying away from trying to accomplish one...i'll give him credit for that.
