Nah, I don't think anyone can say he is a coward, he has his own preferences and you have to respect them, but he is not being very smart and mature about it and that's what is pissing people off.

Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
Apparently it is rocket science...people seriously saying a deal based around Deng + Boozer is better than a deal based around Bynum.
Deng...BOOZER...and I guess 7 footers with serious skills just grow on trees.
:facepalm
Use logic.....
Why trade away a player for someone who has yet to play over 40 plus games in his career?
That's what you are not understanding...Orlando would rather have Boozer/Deng/Asik (a defensive 7 footer) and draft picks than a damn good player like Bynum who is injury prone...
It's that simple...

So an Adidas rep denied denied trying to impact the decision of an NBA player, makes sense.

Exactly, Bynum is what? 23-24? Hes already getting injections in both knees. And Thats what makes Orlando apprehensive and rightfully so.

Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
If Howard doesn't want to be team up with another superstar and stay with his team, i respect that. Right move for a superstar. And I'm a bulls fan.
But if he goes somewhere instead of Chicago and team up with another superstar, then he is just a dumbass. Because Bulls roster fits him perfectly.
Why trade away a player for someone who has yet to play over 40 plus games in his career?
Um, what? Bynum played 46 games in 2005-06, 82 games in 2006-07, 50 games in 2008-09, 65 games in 2009-10, and 54 games in 2010-11.

Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
It could be that he is jealous of Rose for winning MVP and taking over Adidas.

Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
There was a report the other day saying Howard would get a $400 Million Deal with Adidas only in Brooklyn/NY.

Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
Question: Should the Bulls make that trade even without Howard agreeing to an extension with the hopes of convincing him while he's here? You look at that trade and we'd be a trading a backup center in Asik, an overpaid PF in Boozer who really isn't that much if better at all then his backup Gibson, and Deng. How bad would it be losing all those guys if Howard didn't resign? Although Asik is one of the best backup centers in the league, he's still a backup center that is replaceable. Going from Boozer to Gibson might actually be an upgrade and we shed a huge salary, who IMO doesn't really add much more impact then Gibson considering his defensive deficiencies. Losing Deng is bad, who IMO is much better then Hedo, and his defense would definitely be missed, but at least we'd still have a decent starting SF in Hedo.
So I don't think losing Asik or Boozer would really have much of an impact at all, but losing Deng would. So I can simplify it to is losing Deng and downgrading from him to Hedo worth bringing in Howard for at least the rest of the year to compete for a title and trying to convince him to stay?
The Bulls are probably the favorites with this trade and if they win a title, is there really any chance of Howard leaving? And even if they don't win a title but get pretty far, won't there be a good chance that Howard will at least exercise his option for next year? And if they win a title and the slim chance of Howard still leaving does happen, who cares? They got a title out of it.
The one other thing to think about is chemistry, which the Bulls have a great deal of right now. But I have my doubts that this team wouldn't develop a great deal of chemistry.

Right, as if Lakers are willing to give up Bynum so easily. All this speculation, lets not act like we know the Lakers would rather swap Bynum for Howard.
And that package includes Boozer. Funny how people are critical of his game but once involved in a trade where it benefits the Bulls? They want to act like they always loved Boozer.

Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
And they will suck with a a healthy Boozer whose matador defense gets exposed and there is no one/team to protect him. Give me a f*cking break, how dare you prop up the Bulls package over Andruw Bynum who you probably could argue is as good as Dwight Howard RIGHT NOW. Offensively? He takes #2's all over Howards lawn! No curb. Bynum is giving you 12rpg. Thats 3rd best in the NBA behind Howard and Love. He's blocking 2 shots a game. Good enough for top 5 in the league.
So Bynum is offensively more skilled/polished than Howard will ever be.
So Bynum ranks 3rd in rebounding, 5th in blocks.
So Bynum is 24yrs old.
You get all of this and you have the NERVE, THE NERVE to talk about Bynums knees and ignore Carlos friggin Boozer? The 30yrs old who has x amount of years on a deal he wont live up too? A guy that a majority of Bulls fans pray to night gets traded just in general (not talkin Howard either). Get your sh!t and get out of this f*cking thread!
You're absolutely nuts. Did you see what Bynum did yesterday?
Look I'm not the Orlando GM, no one on this board is. So dont shovel your BULLshyt to us as your way of trying to sell me on Boozer in attempts to get Dwight Howard. When in reality, deep down inside you are laughing at the notion that the Bulls can keep Noah and get rid of CARLOS FRIGGIN BOOZER for Dwight Howard. I know I know, Asik/Deng is involved. But I'm not EATING Boozer for nothing. So enugh of this you wont speak on what Boozer really is because you dont want to ruin a potential deal. No one is a GM here, Gms arent gonna read this thread and have 2nd thoughts on a proposed deals being discussed.
Cut it out.
Give me the young big man in Bynum while you keep preaching about his "knees". Ok? I'll worry about his knees and you keep Carlos friggin Boozer, the man who dyes his hair JET BLACK lookin like a total herb.
And no Boozer is no scrub, worthless player. But when you are talkin Bynum or Bulls package where Boozer is involved? Wake up and smell the folgers.
Im one of boozers biggest supporters. I just feel the Bulls can offer a much better package than any other team. Largely because I feel boozer is a very good player

At least he is giving Orlando the chance to trade him. Sure it is only to a team of his choosing, but you can get more for Dwight as a trade piece than as a FA.

Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
GOBB didn't even mention the fact that Boozer has tended to take off games for BS injuries or has had a history of missing quite a few games, although he's been good this year of not having injuries so far.
I think Bynum is going to be getting even better soon if those knees hold up.
