it shows me your motivation, that you think my opinion is because i rep SVG. it explains a lot.

Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
If SVG didn't have bad luck he wouldn't have no luck at all. I really, really doubt it happens, but after the way he's been treated like shit in multiple NBA stops I'd think about taking a big time college job. I'm not the biggest fan of his coaching, but he's certainly solid. I just feel bad for him really.

Wait, JVG and SVG are actually related ? How come one of the two is a dickhead while SVG is cool ?

D12 is a horrible person.
-
Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
Thing is, Dwight was supercool in 2008, no rumour could touch him. Now he's in his weird tornado :D And he enters the video not knowing Stan just confirmed everything, is that true? :D OMG :D bahahahaha

Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
wow just finally saw the video....Dwight is a backstabber. i don't even think he knew Stan knew when he walked up....i can see Dwight screaming on management over this. how are the Magic going to function in this state of drama?
i predict Stan stepping down real soon. he'll get other job offers for head coaching somewhere. shit just got real :pimp:

Re: SVG Confirms Howard asked for him to be fired
We used to be a quiet team...
-
Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
This is a way for Van Gundy to NOT get another job.
Who wants to deal with kind of thing again?
I guess Van Gundy doesn't want to quit.
He's hit his limits as a head coach. He doesn't know what to do on offense, and Dwight hasn't gotten better from last year - not significantly.
-
Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
apparently this is coming out because SVG thinks Dwight is faking an injury and wasn't willing to put up with hit. Dwight would fake and stay out and the Magic would lose a few games and the MAgic could fire SVG for performance reasons.

Knew it. Dwight doesn't go down from a punch in the back.

Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
Why didn't the Magic just trade Dwight for Bynum when they had the chance. This is a huge joke, and Dwight acts like a moron. What a complete failure :facepalm

they'll get more in the offseason if they trade him so its not really a loss for the Magic, aside from the embarassment.

Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
The people harping on SVG here are making 0 sense. What has he done badly?
Since Golden State hates Bogut so much they should just trade him and Curry and Lee for Dwight and Turk. Maybe nab some Anderson out of it too.

Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
Not sure how these two can work together. If you fire SVG, you can basically hand the franchise over to Howard. He can play coach and GM. As a coach how can you still work with Howard?
If the Magic had played this (Utah) smart, they had kept Gortat and would have traded Howard quietly two years ago for something like J. Smith, Horford, Teague, and two first round picks. If you can secure a lottery pick from another team in that deal, you have a decent shot to get a Cousins or Paul George with that pick. You land Shumpert or Leonard with one of your own picks.
Teague/Nelson
Richardson/Redick
George/Leonard
Smith/Anderson
Horford/Gortat
That

I respect SVG for doing this. I also believe he's a good/great coach.

Blame Otis. Then again there is like no other player that can have such a big impact in a team like D12. But blame Otis. It's his fault for letting the franchise devolve like that.
There are so many wrongs things with the way Otis managed that team. So many wrong choices he made. It's hilarious people are forgiving just how much of a bad job he did. And does.

I think he should have kept his mouth shut about the whole thing. It's a much bigger story now.
And as a coach? Clearly his three point chucking philosophy isn't working too well lately, people complain about Dwight not shooting enough but I think that has a lot to do with their crappy offensive philosophy of shooting threes at every possible opportunity.
He's not a bad coach, but certainly not a great one.

At this point you even have to consider that Bynum would be an upgrade in maturity over Howard. :lol

He's working with what he's got. He literally has 0 slashers on that roster. I guess Jameer can do it sometimes but he normally rather chucks up 5 threes a game too.
On this particular event, why would he not talk about it? The thing is going to blow anyways, you must be crazy if you think he's gonna be coaching there for long after Dwight has asked for him to be fired.

Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
SVG acted like a beta there. He shrank and lied about what he was saying. "Yeah so Melo is scary".
SVG def has a part off responsability. You know, he could have talked it out with D12 like MONTHES before. You know do a coach job and make it so that there is not such a bad drama now.
It's just.. lol.
D12 should man up tho. Whatever you do, accept it. Hire better pr assisstant if you don't know how to answer questions. Tebow can do it at the perfection, no reason for him to **** up so much.

he's trying to not offend people but by not sticking with his word, dwight just comes off as an arrogant, manipulating moron. was it completely right for SVG to go public? probably not. they won't fire him this season though. this offseason? anything goes. he'll get hired somewhere else if he is let go. orlando is catering completely to dwight and they'll be a laughingstock if he ends up leaving
