Re: I have a kidney donor!
best of luck on the follow up surgery. i've had a catheter and dialysis before, not pleasant experiences. i've been banned by my doctor from sexual activity for two weeks after my surgery which was a week ago, removing a tumor near my belt.
Really? What's your story?

Well about 5 years ago I had a car accident in which i had an aortic aneurysm, amputated leg, and many broken bones. the effect of all the medicine in me led to a side effect of me losing kidney function. went through dialysis about 4 times and after that, was able to urinate and everything was back to normal. the tumor issue that just came up was unrelated, but i felt a mass and had the doctor check it out, was close to some sexual organ stuff so that explains the no ejaculation rule for 2 weeks lol.

Shit man, that is awful. I hope you are doing well overall. The amputated leg is the part that stands out to me. Do you use a prosthetic, wheel chair, or do something else? It is tough enough to go through life threatening stuff, but then to have everyday life altered on top of that is just a completely different twist from my situation.

Thanks man, I think I'm doing pretty well. Does take a lot away because of not being able to play sports which was like 95% of my socialization. I do have a prosthetic actually, I can walk without any support and go at a decent pace too. I used to have another prosthetic which was pretty shitty and I had to use a cane for a couple of years..which was pretty badass. I just posted a pic in the post a pic of yourself thread and you can see the prosthetic

Re: I have a kidney donor!
Update:
I have follow up surgery this Monday, which also happens to be my birthday. Originally, they were going to have this surgery (removal of my peritoneal catheter from dialysis), a procedure to remove the stint on my bladder (10 minutes of using a scope and clamp to go up through my dick to remove it), and remove my staples from the incision all on separate dates. The timeline was close between the follow up surgery and the stint removal, so I asked them to go up my dick while I'm out for surgery, and the doctors all looked at each other like they hadn't considered that and said, "Hmm, I guess that would make sense." Couldn't believe these guys can be so smart but then lack the common sense to assume that I'd prefer they do it at the same time rather than go through my dick while I'm awake. This morning, they decided to remove the staples at the same time, which is also a bonus, but not as big of a deal.
Also, I jerked it for the first time on Sunday, and apparently the urine catheter wasn't very nice to me (it was removed on Friday). After finishing, my dick turned all purple near the base like all the blood vesicles broke. Scary shit seeing your dick look like a bruise :lol
ha, man, you got me in tears with your bruised dick!
and wtf I thought you looked like a shorter fatter mark bryant. you totally lied in that craigslist ad

I still am hobbled a bit. And I will have follow up surgery on Monday before I am fully recovered from the last surgery. But overall I feel good. The less pain meds I'm on, the more I can feel the new kidney inside of me. There is a not in my lower right hand side of my gut, as if a fist had been added to my insides. It isn't painful, but it is certainly a weird feeling, and it takes away flexibility until everything stretches out and adjusts, so I can't take full size steps yet.

Re: I have a kidney donor!
My Sister got her kidney about a year ago somewhat. She's turning 7 in a couple of days. But her condition is still unfortunate, in and out of the hospital dealing with constant infections and major deficiencies.
We celebrated like crazy when she got her kidney, just didn't expect all these complications. Hope everything is just on your end though man, good luck in your recovery.

Damn, it's so hard to watch kids go through such treatments, the worst part is that some of them think it's their fault and that they have done something bad so they don't bitch and whine about the pain to vent. I hope your sister recovers and goes on to have a happy childhood and make good memories.

They are going to remove my peritoneal dialysis catheter. They left it in previously just in case the kidney didn't take at first. While they take out the catheter, they will also remove a stint from my bladder from the first surgery (this is done through my dickhole and doesn't require me being unconscious, but might as well do it while I'm unconscious since I will be under anyway).
I will be out after a few hours, so TV shouldn't be too necessary this time around.
My recommendation is to try and hunt out the donor and look for his medical history, maybe it wasn't the surgery or your sister health but something the donor had previously and didn't get treated. I am just talking out of my ass though...
Good luck with your procedure Myth. At least you'll be out so enjoy your drugs:kobe:

Re: I have a kidney donor!
Surgery went well today. I can tell already that this is going to be the easiest of the 3 surgeries in the last 3 months to recover from. One interesting note, after the removed the stint from my bladder, I went home and peed, and I started farting out of my dick. Scared the shit out of me.

Damn is there even a word for that?
UD comes to the rescue:
dick fart 263 up, 75 down
noun: Penile flatulence (air or gas escaping from the ***** through the urethra), a.k.a. a quofe (also spelled quof or quoaf).
NOTE: Dick farts or quofes are a rare phenomenon compared to queefs because it is much harder for air to become stuck in a man's urethra than in a woman's comparatively larger ******. Quofes occur most frequently after a catheter has been inserted into the ***** and removed, leaving air trapped in the bladder or urethra.
After Reginald's catheter was removed, he tried to take a piss, but ended up letting a dick fart at the same time and splattering urine everywhere.
-
Re: I have a kidney donor!
^ That is pretty much exactly what happened. Though it came towards the end of my piss, and yes, piss splattered everywhere. Btw, it happened at the end of 3 separate pisses. My 4th and most recent didn't have a "quofe." Before seeing that post, I just started calling it a "peef."

Well now you have added a unique trophy to your collection, how many men can claim they have quofed? Let alone multiple times :lol  :pimp:

On top of all that, it is my birthday, so when somebody asks me what I did for my birthday, I will tell them, "I quofed."

OH SHIT!
A peef is a ***** fart, similar to a queef. A queef is to a female as a peef is to a male.
For those curious, it was like when your water gets turned off in your home and then when it gets turned back on, there are air bubbles in your pipes. So when you turn on a faucet, the water starts but then starts sputtering suddenly and violently when the air pockets shoot out.

Well, I have no more surgeries in expected in the near future, so hopefully it is just a matter of recovering and moving on now. But the anti-rejection meds will be part of my life forever, and I will likely need another kidney in a couple decades even if everything goes as expected.

Or the printed organs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RMx31GnNXY&feature=youtube_gdata_player
They print a kidney at the end of the video, but it isn't fully operational yet.
