At what point in the video is there a one dribble at the rim finish off a standing catch at the 3 point line?
Have you even watched the video. The exact same move that you are complaining is very well known post move and if you really think you cant get a layup with one dribble from just inside the 3pt line well you dont know basketballl
I am 5'10 and 220lbs and i can get to the rim with one dribble from that distance.

No one is saying the post move isnt legit. As for you or anyone else doing it, not from an NBA 3 point line distance and definately not without traveling. With 2 dribbles yes. No way in hell with just 1.

I don't care about a best of Kobe layup video where he performs the same traveling move from the 3 point line that isn't called. Go find a vid of an NBA player that is not a superstar performing that move from a stand still catch on the NBA 3 point line who isn't called for the travel on a single dribble finish at the rim. No one is trolling, you just don't understand the difference between what is a travel and what is not.
Meh. He traveled.
BUT..
a.) An NBA superstar will NEVER get that called against them, especially in the remaining three seconds of the clock.
B.) If you've been watching a lot of the games lately, you'll notice that travelling has been called a lot more frequently, but always on the perimeter on a shuffle-step and NEVER, NEVER ON THE DRIVE. I've seen plenty of fast breaks and drives where players will take FOUR steps and not called for traveling.
So fcuk it. It isn't like Miami will ever miss the finals until at least 2016 anyway..
EDIT: yea what straight_ballin above me just said
its not travel :confusedshrug:
just variation of crab dribble :confusedshrug:

THATS a TRAVEL but i have never seen anyone call it and not just stars but regular players makes the same move.
THATS not a travel in nba

What are you? Lebron's gatekeeper? Relax, stanley, he doesn't need you defending his honor.

You were trying to defend it as not being a travel by posting drills of it being taught! Post a vid of a regular player in the NBA doing that move and not getting called for it.
this is not a travel according to NBA rules by any means...that first step before dribbling never gets called in NBA (as opposed to FIBA) and after that he took two steps anyway. Case closed:cheers:
lol lebron haters hit a new low again. damn.
Euroleague would be proud of you guys. It is funny how everytime LeBron "travels", so many fans of Euro ball come up.
This simply isn't a travel in NBA. Every player in the league can do this and they do this.
LOL at the Whiny Trolls calling it a Travel.. :lol .. HE caught it Took a Stride and Dibble at same time than took 2 steps and Layed it in.. Pretty simple and clear as day..Watch video even shows it in Slow motion close up.. Keep Reaching trolls.

LeBron
LeBron LeBron LeBron LeBron, LeBron LeBron. LeBron LeBron, LeBron LeBron LeBron LeBron!! LeBron LeBron?? :facepalm
Am I doing it right?
forget the steps when he's closer to the rim...
that first step should be called everytime and that gets called in like junior high school. The 2 1/2-3 step sh*t while finishing okay but that first step is wrong.
then on top of that LBJ's footwork is so f'n ugly...there are way too many steps to keep up with at one point. Ugly.

This isn't junior high, this is the NBA.
This is always how they've called it in the big boy league. Get with it, my man.
i only counted 2 steps.......

The step before the dribble. It'll never be called.
Wtf at getting rid of Hibbert. Like Lebron wasn't going to the rim in that situation. Who hired this idiot?
That step never gets called..no matter who you are.
His right foot was established as his pivot foot and as long as you dribble the ball before the pivot comes back down, it is not a travel. Look up the rules bruh
stfu.
It wasnt really a travel, but then again Lebron travels so much and never get called for it, so I dont really see whats the point of this thread? Thats how NBA works, superstar gets special treatment, even if he travels (which he didnt in this case).
Yes, he travelled. So did everyone else on almost every big drive to the hoop. So does Hibbert all the time when he's doing the hokey pokey in the low block (Put my right foot here, then spin, left foot there.)
You watch the NBA right? A travel is nine steps and the player yelling I TRAVELLED PLEASE CALLE IT!
George should have stayed a little farther from Lebron to force him shooting a jumper instead of coming up very close to him and giving a space to go to the rim
It was by no means shape or form a travel. Not even close.
It was by no means shape or form a travel. Not even close.
It wasn't (nor should it) have been called but he took three huge steps. That's a travel.

You are a moron, take off your hating glasses. It wasn't a travel, and anyone that says it is loses all their credibility.

This. Like what the fuck are these dudes even looking at? Straight fabricating.

You're an idiot. First of all i'm not rooting for the Pacers. Second he took THREE GREAT BIG STEPS. Third, i said "IT SHOULD NOT BE CALLED". If that was called there, it would have been awful because it happened on 30 previous plays with no call.
But reality is reality he stops dribbling, takes that first huge step, then does the layup two step.
Hope that mofokka tears his ACL next game. HATE HIM
Did he **** your wife, kick your dog, or something else? lol
What about the bogus call that fouled out Wade?
you win some you lose some
lebron james is the only player in the nba who constantly travels and has absolutely no proper footwork but never gets called for it.
this.
lol at all the Lebron stans saying "it's only a travel if it gets called". that's so disgraceful to even say. Play the game the right way, stop flopping, stop crab dribbling, etc. If it was the opposing team that did it, you'd all be so butthurt.
If this is travel, then every NBA player travels on every freaking possession. I would surely enjoy game with travel called every 5 seconds.
I think he did take 3 steps including the gather-step, but it didn't look as bad as his usual travels, so I was OK with that one. He did however push off George right before he caught the ball and that created a just enough space to attack the basket. Still, even that didn't look as bad as his usual push-offs. It was the Pacers' coach's fault for taking Hibert out. He made that mistake twice in the most crucial moments.
He overcoached his team, and they didn't even execute well coming out of timeouts; they just got extremely lucky twice but still lost in the end.
On to the game 2.
I always thought picking up your dribble was never constituted as your last dribble. So your gather step doesn't happen on the last dribble, but when you actually pick the ball up, allowing you to take those three legal steps, gather, 1st, & 2nd, all after your last dribble.
I may be wrong!
But I doubt it.
That wasn't a travel.
