high fructose corn syrup is such bs, it's like the fentanil of sugars, there is no superior sugar like it, it spikes your blood sugar immediately. your body was not meant to process that, no wonder diabetes has become more common in the US.

Also unlike regular natural sugar, HFCS inhibits your brain from releasing the hunger hormone leptin. Leptin gives you that feeling of fullness you get after a good meal and you feel satisfied for a long time. This is why I think people (especially kids) feel hungry again an hour after eating or want a snack again just after eating dinner because they're eating a bunch of things with HFCS in it.

Yeah, all junk. crazy that despite all scientific data proving it's a terrible ingredient, we continue to use it. i will be interested to see if RFK actually bans it. gonna guess that the pusback will be too much from the large corporations that use it and it won't be prohibited.

Much of the Midwest’s income is corn based, due to heavy subsidies. There will be a lot of starving farmers. Cons hate scientific data.
