Yabu signs with the Knicks 2yrs $12mil
Played solid for us. Also played out of position (center). Nice stretch forward who hustles.
Interesting...Bucks waived Lillard and used the remainder of his contract on Myles Turner. Good move, but Myles might be a younger carbon copy of Brookl Lopez. Wouldn't you assume Turner wouldn't agree to that unless he was told Giannis is coming back? Unless the Pacers were low-balling him.

Got more money and gets to play for contender this season

You basically just repeated what I typed out but just said it different. Giannis staying = contender, Pacers low-ball = get more money.

Leave. Why are you still here? Draft is over.
Jake Fischer: There is certainly more dust to settle from Myles Turner landing in Milwaukee, as ESPN reports. I’m being told the big man wanted to remain with the Pacers, who he helped lead to the Finals, but Indiana’s offers for Turner never truly exceeded the three-year, $60 million range. – via x.com
Three ruptured achilles in the span of a month or two has changed the trajectory of three different franchises...
-The Pacers are letting Turner walk because Haliburton is done for majority if not the whole season. They're probably packing it in for the 25-26 season.
-The Celtics are selling letting Kornet walk, trading Holiday for Simons, Horford is probably gone, traded Prozingis because of Tatum. Packing it in. Part of it too also being the 2nd Apron.
-The Bucks could lose Giannis because of Lillard, or maybe keep him turning Lillard into Turner trying to make a hail mary for him to stay.
and Giannis Antetokounmpo both valued the opportunity to partner together on the court during the process, sources told ESPN. With Antetokounmpo considering his future and whether his best fit was with the Bucks moving forward, Milwaukee executives once again make a major move. – via ESPN

C: Turner
PF: Giannis
SF: Kyle Kuzma
SG: Trent Jr.
PG: Porter Jr.
...I don't know. I feel like they need to get something better in there besides Kuzma. I'm fine with Trent Jr. and Porter Jr. Porter can legit be a 2nd option and has shown in the past he can be, he just hasn't gotten the playing time the last two years. He's still only 25 and averaged 19/5/5 in Houston a few years back.
Biggest winners so far is who? Rockets? Landed Durant, pulled Finney-Smith away from the Lakers and got a legit backup center for Sengun in Capela. And still has the flexibility to make more moves if they want.
Hawks? Got Porzingis, NAW, Luke Kennard? Got a Top 5 pick next year.

They should have signed and traded Portis for better guard depth. Kuzma is a swing forward and can play PF at times. Giannis is going to also play 35 minutes a night. If things are going right, Turner is going to play 30 minutes. So are you really needing Portis?
Anyway, with what they have now, maybe their best move is to try and bring back Brogdon.

Yea I don't know. I just don't like Kuzma since I saw what he did in Washington and how he performed as a Buck. Especially in the playoffs putting up quintuple zeros in a game.

Kuzma off the bench makes more sense to me

Nuggets who took okc to 7 games
Certainly looks like the worst team in the league. Way to go? :facepalm
One of the best young core's in the league
Stacked draft next year and we have a treasure chest of picks
I'm not saying it definitely won't happen but any GM that trades a first round pick to pay 40mil per for a 3-and-no-D roleplayer is crazy.
The Nuggets just basically did that with Cam Johnson and a healthy Porter can get you 30ppg , he's one of the best pure scorers in the league

Lakers went from 2% to 0.1% chance of winning just by losing DFS

Getting rid of coach rivers for someone who's more competent will help them a lot.
Chris Haynes reporting Giannis wasn't happy about Lillard getting waived...
https://www.si.com/nba/chris-haynes-giannis-antetokounmpo-unhappy-with-bucks
If this is true I'm not sure why. Lillard is going to turn 35 in two weeks, he's going to miss most if not all of next season. And by the time he "possibly" comes back to 100% he's going to be 36. He's fine with the Bucks sucking this upcoming season if he stays?
kuzmas getting traded for a wing or pg. bucks will have to start porter or taurean prince but trent jr and myles are fine as starters. simons is an option as is malik monk. hell i consider derozan or cj mccollum too its desperate times for the bucks. Can sign brogdon as a backup too
The Phoenix Suns have been discussing a possible buyout for guard Bradley Beal, league sources have informed The Arizona Republic. – via Arizona Republic

At what point do we stop saying a guy is one of the best? top 60? I'm not sure where Porter world rank on a list of the league's best scorers but how often is a guy this on his team in scoring, doesn't average 20, but is somehow regarded as one of the best scorers in the league? There are actual great players that never averaged 30.
Shams Charania: BREAKING: The Clippers, Jazz and Heat have agreed to a trade that sends Norman Powell to Miami, John Collins to Los Angeles, and Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and a 2027 Clippers second-round pick to the Jazz, sources tell ESPN.
Great pick and roll/pop partner for harden. 3 level scorer. Double/double machine. Not great defender
Id guess love wont play for jazz. Anderson might til trade deadline anyway
Love expiring so flip or buyout i imagine. Anderson 1 more year on deal after next season
Heat should be in mix in wide open east. Clipps look good. Comes down to kawai. Good luck with that
Michael Scotto: Sources: The Los Angeles Clippers were reluctant to give Norman Powell a long-term extension as he enters the final year of his deal ($20.48 million) with Kawhi Leonard and James Harden signed through the 2026-27 season. The Clippers are prioritizing significant cap space in 2027 – via Twitter MikeAScotto
Someone will want their cap space
Yossi Gozlan: The Jazz decreased payroll enough where they could pivot to becoming a cap space team. They can have $22 million in cap space if they waive KJ Martin and Jaden Springer’s non-guaranteed salaries. This would give them more spending as well as the $8.8 million room mid-level. – via Bluesky

Im shocked they didnt resign him. Unless they made an offer and he just preferred to go to Houston. He is kind of an old school southern cat. Maybe he just didnt wanna play in LA long term.
If the Lakers didnt even make a serious offer tho, they kinda ****ed up. Altho maybe his age was part of it. He's 32 now and maybe if they thought (correctly) theyre not ready to contend right now, it doesnt make sense to pay him right now. I dunno.
If he wants to win he made the right choice. Rockets are contenders. Lakers are not
Collins was feasting whenever he played last season, good to see him get away from the loser jazz. Get lauri the fu*k outta there too
Lauri will be gone eventually
Lakers signed Jake LaRavia, who is probably the single most similar player in the league to Dalton Knecht. Same size, same age, both have bounce and can get super hot from outside. Nothing special defensively but not the worst either. Feels like Knecht being put in a deal at some point is still very much on the menu. Almost a certainty.
Is it true the Warriors haven't done a single thing? You'd think they would want to put something around Curry in his twilight years.
