Wood is an intriguing free agent this summer. Some potential suitors worry he is caught between positions on defense. He’s undersized against some centers — Wood knows he has to get stronger — and untested as a paint quarterback. (He has looked better at times switching onto guards instead of hanging near the rim.) Chasing stretchier power forwards is a tall order. Wood plans to work on his off-ball defense over the summer, he said.

O’Neale joins Muscala as the only other eligible player with over 60% of their shots taken with a defender six or more feet away. He’s shooting 41.6% from three when wide-open for the season, but, most interestingly, he shows an innate ability to predict the future. O’Neale consistently got more distant over the months of the season, peaking at 80% of his March field goal attempts happening with a six-foot minimum gap.

So if you are putting together potential Knicks trade packages for Mitchell, it makes sense to start there. And, obviously, if Utah was trading Mitchell and keeping Gobert, the club wouldn’t want to deal for Robinson.

Otherwise, Utah essentially would have to start over. But, yes, whenever there is a distressed asset, it is safe to assume that Pat Riley and the Heat will be sniffing around.
For one thing, he needs a lot of work on his body. He’ll probably always be thin, but right now he has just 183 pounds on his 6-foot-6 frame.
and that's what the league will tell him. I see no problem with declaring and not hiring an agent. Kind of stupid not to really just to get the feedback and go through the process. Gavin Baxter should with his length and athleticism.
The difference this year is that players won’t have the same opportunities as in the past to show off their skills because of the COVID-19 shutdown. The Utah Jazz used to bring 100 or so players in for individual workouts during May and June. Unless things change in a hurry, there will be no NBA combine in May, no G League Elite Camp and perhaps just a handful or team workouts before the draft, unless it’s pushed back to late summer or the fall.
and the Jazz say the workouts aren't where most of their decisions come from
And even though the majority of players will take their names out of the draft, which Gach may very well do, too many don’t. Last year for the first time, more underclassmen went undrafted (44) than were drafted (40) and thus lost their college eligibility with little hope to ever make the NBA.
and maybe they should have never been in college in the first place. Lots of places t play ball besides the NBA. College should be for tudent athletes not people waiting to play basketball
“Back the thing up to before the season started and note that Gobert wants a max deal, maybe a super-max, one that will pay him a gazillion dollars when his current deal ends after next season. Only the best players in the NBA are privileged to get that kind of contract, one that could take up to 35 percent of a team’s payroll, and — yeah, here’s a shock — Gobert wants to prove to everyone that he is, in fact, one of the best.
Already proven it
He needs to realize that he doesn’t need to expand his offensive game at all, and that in doing so he takes away opportunities from one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the game. And he also needs to realize that taking the most money possible could handicap the Jazz in their chase for a title.
The dunk is still the most efficient shot in the league. Opens everything else up
Will Gobert force the Jazz into paying him the super-max? If he doesn’t get extended at all before the start of next season, will the Jazz put him on the trading block so he doesn’t walk away the way Gordon Hayward did three years ago?
I think this all could be just an excuse so they don't have to pay him. Good luck winning without him though!

Center is obviously the position they need to be looking at assuming Gobert isn't traded. Bradley also a free agent after next season
The only thing that matters, though, is how high he is on their draft board. The Utah Jazz are going to draft the best player available every single time, as they should.

No they need to look to move up or down if there isn't a center. They had 6 rookies a year ago plus Bradley. Need a center
At just 18 years old, Stewart is pretty built. He has great strength to go with elite length. He’s only 6’9″ as a center, but his 7’5″ wingspan helps him tremendously. That’s quite the combination. Stewart has the tools to be a major challenge on both ends of the court.
