Millsap was not surprised by the Hawks decision. Nothing, he said, surprises him after 11 years in the NBA. However, he admitted to being disappointed by the end of relationship that helped him blossom into one of the top power forwards in the league. All four of Millsap

Could they make the playoffs without him would be a better question. Right now they aren't close with the moves Denver and Minnesota have made. Last place in the division looks likely. The wizard Lindsey! :rant
He has to do only simple things now. Make the right pass. Be aggressive. Be a pest on defense. And you know, dominate.
He did it before when he outplayed Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart. He has to do it again here. Play so well that the Jazz coaches are FORCED to shut you down for the summer.
They shut him down last time because of a sprained ankle but yeah he should be the best player out there and they can concentrate on playing the young guys once he has. Definitely be bad for him if Mitchell, Goss or Wallace out play him
As has already been talked about, Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the talks with George Hill broke down after he turned down a 4 year $80 million extension with the Jazz. (Man, life comes at you fast.)
Don't think we know that the Jazz offered him the max they could, I can see them trying to be cheap and him electing to be a free agent

No mention of Hanlan who looked good for the Jazz last year in his 1 game

Why not make moves before to make it so he can't leave?
No moves if he leaves to stay relevant?
Even if they start the year in tax territory they can make moves later to get under it so they don't need to give picks away to get rid of Burks and Favors now. They already had to for Pleiss because his value was going to go up any.
Johnson should be the first guy to go to me but than I wouldn't have paid Ingles either.
Bogut is the perfect fit. Can't shoot either! :facepalm

He'd be a great fit for last year's team. Not sure what's going on now. Back in the 90's again I guess
some Jazz fans had hoped and dreamed that Utah could find a way to make the appropriate moves to welcome former fan favorite Paul Millsap back into their ranks. Unfortunately, such an idea was a long-shot to begin with and likely was never truly in the cards.
Hard for me to see him picking Denver over Utah if the Jazz offered him that contract and they could have if they weren't cheap.
