anyone know if rodman got those bulls before or after he joined chicago?
That's a cover-up tat if I ever saw one. If you look closely around the middle of the netting, it says something like 'Cone'. A nickname for an ex or something I imagine.
Interesting...

"let's see... Do I have this tattoo removed by laser, or do I try and cover it up by another tattoo three times as ugly and four times as big?... Hmmmmm"
Walton has the worst in the NBA (stickfigures?? :wtf:)
Bibby has a lot of tats and they're all crappy
RJ's one is horrible too

his Dad was a huge Dead fan, and each one represents him and his brothers.
Bron's tatoo is the worst. I mean, it doesn't get more arrogant than that

90% of bron's tattoos reference himself. i'm just sayin'
is there any worse tattoo than kenyon martin's "lipstick kiss" on his neck? how drunk was he when he got that?

idiot tattoo
Isn't it kind of sad that these people have to advertise their own uniqueness? Those individuals covered totally in tattoos are probably very insecure internally.

that sounds like a blanket statement to me. plenty of people get inked and i'm sure it's not a security/self-esteem issue for a lot of them. now there are tattoos that i totally disagree with but why should i judge? i think jr. smith looks hideous with his arm sleeves and i think the birdman's tats are actually cool. chris actually shows off what he's into and a bit of symbolism. anyway, denver is probably the most inked team in the NBA. :oldlol:
i also like sheed's tats because he's into mythology.
in the end, they have to live with it. inspiration can come from many wells. i think tats are still a pretty big stigma/taboo today. i have a tat that extends from my shoulder blade towards my elbow. i'll never be able to wear a short sleeve shirt to a job interview. i've accepted that. otherwise i tend to dress normally and am pretty low-key.
another thing i noticed about tats, at least in the NBA: how come it seems like black guys don't get a lot of color in their tats? surely it wouldn't stand out as much. and no i'm not racist, don't even bring that up. i'm just trying to make an observation.

Of course I'm generalizing. That post was to be taken lightly and not meant to offend. I constantly consider getting one and I've been as far as sitting down in a parlor to discuss what I wanted with an artist. It's just the permanency of it that stifles the urge. If I were to get one, it would have to be something that I will not ever regret.
But I can't shake the belief that there is an underlying narcissism in getting a tattoo. Don't know why.

It may sound cliche but you really have to get something that is personal and has meaning to it, otherwise it just a picture you choose to have done.
Some of the NBA tats out there are down right arrogant and rediculous but I think it mostly comes from having the money to fuel an addiction ( tats can be very addictive) and not placing much thought into the design of it and just rushing into it.
It took me 7 months of planning to get mine done.
