Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
There's more than one reason why a lot of people (including me) dislike Kobe. The main one being that he basically got 3 rings thrown in his lap. I mean, most other top players have to try for years to get a chance to win a championship, but Kobe was already in his first year paired to one of the best players ever. That's not his fault of course, but it irritates me that everyone who's trying to argue that Kobe > random player still uses it as an argument even though it shouldn't be one
so you dislike magic johnson and larry bird too?
tim duncan?
d wade?
or the countless other great players that had immediate success because they got paired with a good team..
Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
Basically....Cavs win...Its all LeBron, by himself, Tarzan
Basically....Cavs lose..Its all because of his teamates
I understand now....:oldlol:
Same goes for Kobe stans to. IMO Kobe CHOKED like a biach in the 08 Finals.
No when the Cavs lost against the Celts and Spurs LeBron also didn't play like LeBron. But the fact that his team even advanced far enough to play those teams based off the talent he had around him was telling. He had no 2nd option, a backcourt that couldn't shoot, and a coach with no idea of how to make an offensive scheme. LeBron deserves blame for laying an egg too, but based off the team he had its easier to excuse than last years Lakers or the 04 Lakers with Shaq, Karl Malone, and GP. Do you disagree?
Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
But they did.. but I guess that was all Lebron. KD is at it again.
So if Kobe had willed the 06 or 07 Lakers to the finals with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown and then had a bad finals series you'd be ripping him as much as you do Bron? I didn't think so. The level of his teammates do make a difference. If Bron struggles with this team in the playoffs as much as he did in the past I'll be the first to rip him on it. The question is what will you do?
Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
I'm sure that a ton of other guys who played in the '70s, '80s, and early '90s would have been more unpopular had the internet been more relevant.
Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
I thought parts of that article were good but then again he says he doesn't know Kobe personally. I don't know how he acts off of the court, but some people can change. Of course, he could still be an ******* and that wouldn't surprise me at all.
The part I dislike about Kobe is that sometimes I think he plays basketball for the accolades and not for the love of the game. I know he loves basketball, but when he gets caught up in individual accolades and coaches' comments it affects the way he plays.
Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
I do not like him for I think he is a ******.
Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
hate him or love him, he's the greatest player we ever seen since jordan and all he cares about now is winning.
crown the mofo already....it's his year if boston or cavs make it to the finals...
Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
One thing I don't understand is that if you don't like Kobe, then what makes you hate the other Lakers? People were celebrating after Bynum's injury...

They were celebrating Bynum's injury because they hate the Laker fans who overrate him.

Every team overrates their players though. If people really like basketball, then they should be able to ignore those types of things. I mean people celebrating a guy who seems like a genuinely good guy. This guy would rather be playing Xbox than going to a club...

Don't know about that.
Lakers and Cavs fans tend to underrate players not named Kobe or LeBron when they make MVP arguments.

Yah some people were celebrating as you say when Bynum got hurt. I think this had a lot to with Bynum stabing Wallace in the chest with his elbow sending him to the hospital for a week.
Re: Great article about why people hate Kobe
I despise him because I honestly believe he raped a women. He was never convicted because he paid her off to avoid going to court...but there is nothing he can do in a game that will remove that kind of stain. It's the same reason I hate Ruben Patterson. Kobe is a a great player...but complete low life sociopath off the court (imo).
You do know how much semen samples they found in ONE pair Kate Fabers panites don't you?
You do know they found a semen sample of the person that was susposed to be testifying for her don't you?
Give it up, me and you both know kobe didn't rape anybody.

Then why pay her off? So much evidence in Kobe's defense but yet he paid her off anyway?????

For sure, look at Portland fans. But I didn't see Laker fans celebrate when Greg Oden got hurt. I guess that's the difference between us and them.
