What do you call a doctor that flunks out of med school?
A dentist!
Pretty dated idea.

I'm only 19 so no bars, and I unless you come up to Bangor I don't think there will be a meet up. if I remember you stay in Rockland and I don't have a car so distance becomes a factor. Rockland like 1 and half hours away.

Vapid should know. Did your dad ever even apply to med school? My guess would be no. It's apples and oranges. People that become dentists tend to be very independent free thinkers. They, for the most part end up as individual business owners/entrepreneurs. Dealing with hospital admins, etc., being on call 24hrs a day is just not our thing. The justification of the MDs and surgeons was that they made so much more money but nowadays that's just not the case. I know a neurosurgeon in town that made less than I did last year just because of reduced insurance/managed care reimbursement.

Brunswick but close enough, it's a small state. I'm definitely gonna hit up the seafood place professormurder recommended in Bath.

Let us not forget gynos have to sniff and fondle fat whale puss all damn ding-dong day. On top of that, it could be fat whale roast beef lips slithering down only a few inches from the flo. To hell with that.
rufus might have to endure some stank bref, but better than 98% of the cooters you check out being barf-worthy.
nope.
I rest my case. Vapid's dad is a very successful independent doctor and entrepreneur. That is the appeal of the profession.
no theatre experience other than that the way i communicate is pretty theatrical by nature. when i talk to people or make presentations (especially things i'm passionate about) i get very animated, very flamboyant, very bold, the voice starts rising and falling, the hands are everywhere, "i dont care what you want, you're gonna hear what i have to say" attitude comes out. i'm a salesperson, communicating and putting on a show is what i do. in real life i'm just like i am here, except i TRY not to be quite as hostile (even though by nature i sometimes want to) - although many times i've failed and gotten in some trouble over it - but honestly when i talk people listen because i make them. im not passive or shy or unsure, i dont wait my turn to speak and im not still and monotone when i do it. i can act anything, belieeee dat.
This is where my salesmanship and eloquence will hopefully come in. while i'm in the study i'm gonna send out my headshots and cover letters etc. to a bunch of agents and basically convince them why i'm gold, and i have no doubt i'll be able to get at least one of them hooked. like i said, that's what i do.
yeah this is what the headshot lady was saying, it could be tough that i'm a little bit past playing in a high school movie but not really old enough to be a detective or a parent or a surgeon etc. there's a limited number of parts out there but they are out there, and putting anyone but me in them would be a mistake. once i get to meet people in person i'll be able to get that across. that's the hardest part about this whole thing for me, the fact that you have to do all sorts of submitting where people make their decisions just based on stuff on paper without getting to meet you. if i can get chances to meet with people, its over.
true dat, once i get my initial portfolio with headshots, resume, cover letters etc. together and get out of the study, it's go time. the funniest thing about being in this industry to me is that because there are so many people that do it, when you say you're an actor or whatever people are just like "oh, another one..." and assume you're like everyone but for me i see very clearly what other people bring and how i'm different, but its not something you can really explain until you get a chance to just go do it. but that being said, i'll say it again just for the hell of it so that everyone knows: i got dis!
you sound like a man who has done a lot of clinical drug trials.

:lol But who knows Josh, for every 10 rancid skanks there might be a megan foxworthy in the bunch.

There's no case to rest. It was a Seinfeld reference that apparently you dentite bastards are too uppercrust for.

I know. But even Seinfeld can get old with the cliches. The guy that played the dentist (Watley?) was pretty funny though.

While we're on the subject, Jondeeregreen, what do you do? I've heard you play a mean guitar but is that your profession?
So in answer to my original question, you're doing absolutely nothing except selling yourself for scientific experimentation. And even that only pays for 17 days. And incidentally, I made more just today than your whole 17 day package is gonna pay.
When I was 25 I was finishing up my last year in dental school and getting ready to be married. What happened to your lost years son? Was it really worth all the video games?
In all seriousness I hope you make it. I hope you soar like the eagles to the top of the Hollywood ladder. You've got a dream kid. Some day I'll be watching one of your films and thinking "if I was just nicer to Chris...Nah."
First of all:
You made over seven thousand dollars TODAY? Nice lie. I won't let you live that down. Extrapolated over the course of 52 weeks (only counting five days a week) that would be over a million dollars. Let me guess, you also have a house on the east river and are a handsome man? Way to lie on the internet! I'll look forward to your made up justification as to how that figure is accurate. Even though nobody is gonna buy it. You just lied on the internet to impress a bunch of kids. Midlife crisis much? :oldlol:
If I was about to graduate dental school and get married at 25 so i could go live in boobsville north carolina and spend my days trying to recapture my youth with a bunch of kids online and feeling resentment towards them for getting to do things i can't anymore, it would be a very dark time. I'm actually living in a bomb location, pursuing something exciting, and having fun along the way. You are rufuspaul, goofy looking internet creeper with a midlife crisis lying about how much he makes to kids on the net to try to impress them. sm my mother****ing h you loser lol.
