Lebron out there in preseason playing harder than game 5 :lol
Someone get on and post "dam Lebron out there in preseason playing harder than game 5 :oldlol: "
:lol
Most of the stuff that I see him hated for would be things that it wouldn't even occur to me to think twice about.
It just baffles me some of the stuff that people try to twist into him being a jerk. He posted a link to an article about himself from Oprah's magazine. So?
Thats what happens when you're a celebrity in the limelight, and you begin to create a negative image of yourself. People just hate, thats what they do in general anyway, but when you give them a few reasons to start on you, then it snowballs from there. Now, if the dude breaths funny, they pounce him.
Like I said earlier, when you put yourself out there as a "character", that embodies the silly traits of a stereotype, then people will treat you as such.
And that is what you're seeing. People jumping all over him for asinine reasons. They dont care about him as a person, because he acts, or portrays a "fool". So people treat him like a fool. He has become almost a punching bag for haters.

It's not enough for Lebron to read the article and like it. He wants to make sure the whole world has to see what positive thing oprah says about him.
That would be like if Kobe posted the quote of Jordan saying that Kobe is the best player in the nba. He'd never go out of his way to do that. Matter of fact he doesn't even have a twitter account because this dude is dedicated to the game 24/7. Their egos aren't the same.
Lebron actually goes out of his way to be an attention wh0re.
And that is what you're seeing. People jumping all over him for asinine reasons.
Well... LeBron is asinine incarnated :pimp:

The thing is, how exactly is him posting someone saying he had a good game or a link to an article him portraying a fool? Do you know how many athletes on Twitter have done the exact same thing a million times over?
']"I'm really humbled y'all...which is why I'm tweeting about this article from Oprah that says how great of a guy I am."

QFT!
Well, all of the players at his level are egomaniacs. Jordan, Kobe, Magic, Wilt etc. Kobe was the originator of "Taking my talents..."
You forgot Shaq. :oldlol:
Watching basketball superstars for input on personalities is like going to party to be left at piece. It can be done... but it's extremely difficult. I like following the NBA off the court because the stories entertain me. But I don't really care about these manufactured guys like Kobe or LeBron. It's not their fault though. Society and the media puts them somewhere they don't belong in the first place (this much money, role models? wtf???) only to let them fall for even more attention and clicks.
Basketball players are not role models. They shouldn't be. They need not be. They are there to play the game. If/when some of them are original, genuinely funny or down to earth, it's a relief. But not to be expected.

First off, that wasn't Oprah. It was her magazine, but she didn't write it.
LeBron's been criticized very heavily the summer. Maybe that article expresses how he feels about what he did. Just because you may not like doesn't mean he has to dislike himself.
The thing is, how exactly is him posting someone saying he had a good game or a link to an article him portraying a fool? Do you know how many athletes on Twitter have done the exact same thing a million times over?
He posts it, so that EVERYONE can read it.
However, if you just send him a generic message, LeBron just "Replies" to you the sender so no one knows what you write.
But if your message is one that says how GREAT he is, LeBron will "Re-Tweet" it so EVERYONE can see it.
Try it out!

100% agree! I watch LeBron play basketball because I like how he plays. I don't need him to be my friend too.
Do you know how many athletes on Twitter have done the exact same thing a million times over?
People using twitter over 20-25 makes me question their mental state. :oldlol:
Had someone told me in 1997 that the biggest hype over the Internet in 2010 would be sending less than 200 characters in plain text and be able to read when someone takes a shiit... I most certainly wouldn't have believed that.
Well, of 10-15 year olds, maybe. But adults?

My point was, that now that he has already made himself out to be an "ass" in most people's eyes.....ANYTHING he does now is under fire.
Dude can post about how he went for a walk, and went shopping, and people will now jump down his throat for that as well.
By his actions over the past several years, he attracts all the under-belly of society.
I mean look at other stars, or politicians who've done some questionable things over the years. George Bush while in office, couldnt even sneeze, without the media/people taking a shit all over him. Its the same with Obama...
Hell, Michael Jackson couldnt even show his face for years without people speculating on what was WRONG with him.
When you build up a tarnished reputation, people are going to shit on you, even for the silliest of reasons.
THAT is where he is at now.
And I agree, some of the things people hate on him for are ridiciulous. But lets face it....some of the things he does is ridiculous too.....but i think some are blurring the ridiciulous actions of his, with the not so ridiculous, and he does get unfairly bashed for stupid reasons now.

He posts it so the people that follow him can read it. In theory, they would be his fans. He thinks that he had a good game, which he did. Is he supposed to pretend like he didn't?
First off, that wasn't Oprah. It was her magazine, but she didn't write it.

She didn't write them, since all the men in that list were written by other writers from other magazines, but it was OPRAH who put that list together for her own magazine.
So this is coming from Oprah.
